I've always hoped we would see this story thread tied up, however this will likely be a forgotten story lead since bungie is focused on the endgame.

Honestly I don't even think we would see it then. Also I suspect that once they tie up the light vs dark saga they will move on to D3 which will take us out of our solar system .
