6 RepliesUh why? Console only plays with console and pc plays with pc? What’s the issue here
-
2 RepliesThey won't do it. 1) The population is too low, hence why they created it. 2) Imagine finally being able to play with your different platform friends and them taking that away. I would be upset if I could no longer play with my PlayStation friends (I'm on Xbox) just cause some bad kids cried and blamed cross play for their lack of skill and comprehension.

1 ReplyNo not for all pvp, but I feel there should be separate, have old gen have their own cross play with other old gens, new gens should get their own too, and pc should be left alone, but still give pc the option to opt out if they want too, all in all this separation should make crucible fair
-
1 ReplyI don’t think it should be disabled fully but maybe when you click a gamemode on console you have two options Crossplay (matches you with players on the other console) Normal (matches you with players only on your console)
-
So I keep seeing “low population” as the reason on why not to do this, but didn’t Bungie say there’s millions of accounts active recently? I’m confused as I believe the population is smaller than every rn.

or even better fix it, I've lost count of the point-blank headshots with shotguns missing or being killed through walls in rift. every time it is 100% an Xbox player (i am on ps). now I know I'm going to hear that it is the same the opposite way but honestly, that's what I'm trying to say. I have increased my internet speeds changed routers to gaming routers hard-wired everything you could think of but nothing helps. so Bungie needs to stop milking us for money(solstice 1k silver for something we have paid for) and actually make the game a worthwhile experience all round for the community.

2 RepliesHow about they address the mouse and keyboard users on console first.
-
2 RepliesCross play is not and never has been the issue. It’s the lack of actual dedicated servers. Bungie uses a trash peer to peer hybrid system that has bred horrible lag ever since D1.
-
2 Repliesyou mean you dont enjoy emptying whole clips in to cross platform and doing 0 damage. even better when they appear behind you when they was stood 10 m infront of you but have hit the speed foce and rubber band across the map . its such an enjoyable experience. give xbox an in game option to turn off cross play. while you are at it own up you screwed up cross play and go some way to saving face

I think CrossPlay is a good idea, but they do need to make some major changes to fix connections between platforms as well as matchmaking (having it enabled vs disabled) Obviously there are networking issues, so all I can say about that is "fix it". As for matchmaking, It appears that each platform can be in 1 of 2 completely separate pools. The CrossPlay pool OR a pool for everyone on that platform who has disabled CrossPlay. That needs to change. There needs to be a single player pool where the CrossPlay Enabled algorithm and CrossPlay Disabled algorithms (one of each platform) pull from. I know the implementation is likely harder than it sounds, but that should be how it works. Example Behavior Expectations: If I'm on PS and I disable CrossPlay I should be able to match up with other PS players regardless of their CrossPlay settings. If I'm on PS and have CrossPlay enabled then I could get into an All-PS lobby or a CrossPlay lobby.

10 RepliesDude... How many times to we have to drill it in your skulls? You don't get paired with players in the PC pool, unless there is someone on your team ON PC!!!!

8 RepliesThey will never disable cross play nor should they
-
5 RepliesUhmm no? The -blam!- Definitely not, don't ruin people's teams, relationships, and experiences AND make the matchmaking pool worse just because you don't like something. This is so selfish it isn't even funny. What the actual hell dude. And simple solution to cross play problem for PvP. If you're on console, only run with console people in your fireteam. Playing with a PC player puts you in the PC pool. Its completely on you. As for console crossplay, why? Yes there's been some more lag but instead of asking Bungie to remove a great feature that has helped this game and been asked for by the community for YEARS, ask them to work on their crossplay meshing and stability.

2 RepliesRight now the strain on players connections to each other during matches is clear for players to see. Give players an option to turn it on/off for each. right now xbox can forcibly disable it but then matchmaking more or less excludes them from matchmaking activities. huh wonder if I could use that to solo strikes from now on will test later after work. on topic though Either Bungie needs to revisit the multiplayer code to smooth over the crossplay integration or provide an option to disable it. Both Ps & Xbox when playing against each other report on these very forums hit registration issues, lag and occasionally teleporting or outright unkillable players in PvP that belong to the other console so clearly it needs looking into what's happening beneath the surface level of the game.

Bump bump bump!
-
Nah. I actually have friends on other platforms to play with
-
i have no issue at all with crossplay and its a very good addition to the game
-
Yet another stupid comment, think before pressing return.
-
Topic body
At this point it's sort of built into the DNA. It's not harm to stay away from pc players.

2 RepliesFor years people have gone on and on about wanting cross play in Destiny. Now you want it removed and guess what if Bungie did everyone will start going on about wanting it back. It is here to stay like it or not.
