Please just give us atomic breach back

1 ReplyI think some people are forgetting that in D2 players are going to use what's consistent the majority of the time over something else that is only useful like a quarter of the time in PvP. Yes there is some utility in using pocket singularity, but the cons far outweigh the pros. You could knock someone back with pocket singularity but it only works when it wants to in that regard. Want to do decent damage from outside of shotgun range? I guess you gotta throw on Necrotic Grips. Do you want to know what does the job much better and more consistently? It's called atomic breach and it had much better utility and consistency than pocket singularity currently does. It's literally a case of anything you can do i can do better. Really hope Bungie at least considers putting Atomic Breach back on Voidwalkers.

1 ReplyEdited by Insatiable: 3/25/2022 11:48:40 AMAgreed. Favorite melee as a diehard nova warp main. They gutted the two subclasses I played only : bottom hammers and then nova warp with removal of it's good melee .

I actually like it. Does decent work against trash mobs in PvE with the volatile explosion. In PvP, I use it as a throw and forget ability. Works beautifully on a high speed Astrocyte build. Toss it out and hide while it hits them. The tracking aims for you, the knockback throws off their aim if it’s not directly at them, and you get a free 70 damage and a volatile debuff on them. I used to hate it when void 3.0 started, but it’s a cool utility to have in your kit. Atomic breach was great though too.

1 ReplyWe should get both of them as melee options.
-
6 RepliesNah this one is way better
-
3 RepliesJust curious, what do you dislike about pocket singularity? Is it its damage? Its tracking? I found it really fun in regular content where it one shot or seriously hurt red bars, but in stuff like legend campaign it feels weak in damage.

8 RepliesEdited by Fish: 3/24/2022 4:36:08 AMI would try explaining why the new melee is good but you'll just respond with "you don't know what you're talking about" even when given valid examples. So instead I'll just leave this here so people know what they're engaging with if they decide to speak to you. No reply needed. I won't be responding to you.

4 RepliesIdk, it's basically an Overwatch Orisa grab that pulls shotgunners off of you real quick. Usually leaves them disoriented af.

The more and more I use the new melee, the more I’m really starting to hate it. Its slow, inconsistent, it barely deals damage, it doesn’t always move players and it sometimes pulls enemies towards me when Im trying to push them away. This melee is terrible! Ill take the nova warp melee any day over this garbage. When this melee works as intended its fantastic but majority of the time it gets me killed more than it helps.

1 ReplyIt's very good if your opponent is around a corner or if they're already at low health since it tracks. Other than that I would like middle tree melee back since it does much more damage. Pocket singularity in my opinion is very good for ad clear if you get the right hid and have your subclass explode enemies on ability kills. Titans get two melees, why don't we?
-
2 RepliesOrrrrr- have both
-
1 ReplyI don’t mind it, I would still prefer HHSN.
-
4 RepliesI would agree but theres one thing i love about Pocket Singularity that triumphs over the previous melee options... It tracks around corners. Fishing out a camping Carl has never been easier until now.
-
17 RepliesNew melee is much better.
-
4 RepliesIt’s a ranged, tracking melee with a strong knock back effect, that you can pre throw at corners. Admittedly 60 damage feels weak but the utility far outweighs that of atomic breach.

Edited by Konnen73: 3/24/2022 12:01:09 PMNgl i read it as "i hate hot pockets". Was about to report your blaspheming @ss.

6 RepliesAtomic breech was a million times better, add in the nerf to hhsn and we have one seriously nerfed nova warp pvp class. Only good thing is devour activation on void kill. But we also lost the ability to consume the grenade for devour activation and have to wear some exotic legs to get it when placing a rift so all in all.......hard nerfed.

Edited by hate n payne: 3/24/2022 11:15:28 AMWorst melee for sure. The other 2 melees have much more control within theirs. Hunters can slam with a smoke grenade or throw one to pre determine a fight or a lane. Titans can be use the shield as a means to gain a overshield or determine the location of a player with the hit marker. The Shield Bash can be used as movement tool and can disorient if needed. Pocket Singularity should have been a combination of Celestial Fire and the MT OG Voidwalker one.

The damage is pitiful but the yeet is funny.
-
The only thing I like about it is that I can knock PvE enemies off the map with it lol
-
I'm currently on a destiny 2 break, but yeah I can say the same with defensive strike it is way better than shield throw, and shield throw doesn't even lock on, and it's exactly the same with pocket singularity.
-
I got mixed feelings about it Range on it is kinda bad, granted I only have issues in pve and thats just me having poor judgment of space As for pvp I sort of like it Yo me it's funny to be rushed by a shotgunner, get their shield down as the run at me, boop, they go back and I pop their head, by by guardian Also the other day I had a spectral running at me on banner field or whatever that tower map is. Was in the center by the tree trunk. Dude jumps up at me and hits his melee button, so do I, this dude goes up over me, keeps going forward cause of their lunge and Flys 50ft over the railing and down to yheir death But yeah as u point out in other replies it's bad against supers and other players in general due to damage. And seems very situational in my opinion
just my two cents
4 RepliesI would agree breach was also Unique so there was reason to keep it
-
I like the new melee more tbh. I love how it tracks around corners.

I hate fighting PS in melee range….
