For those unaware, BattlEye has recently announced that they are added support for Steam's Proton Linux compatibility layer. This allows Linux users to play some Windows games on Linux. At the moment, playing Destiny 2 is not possible as the anti-cheat gets flagged.
This new added support for Proton is on an op-in basis, and as far as I'm aware, it is simple to opt-in.

Edited by Ferk: 2/26/2022 2:56:20 PMPlease Bungie do it!!! Today I was attempting a solo legendary run on the new campaign and right at the last boss my system crashed because of Windows drivers...... this is an issue that happens once in a while (with other games too) and I have never had it in Linux. I swear it makes me ragequit every time it happens and as soon as I get a chance (probably once Steam OS 3 releases) I'll say goodbye to Windows for good.
