What a stupid idea! It's called Day one for a reason. If you not good enough just wait 24 hours and you will be good to go in new raid. Stop trying to make everything casual because you not good in specific thing!

I'd like to remind you, that contest mode on day one has not been a thing for a long time, in fact not even throughout the complete original destiny. but was implemented later on in destiny 2, because normal mode wasn't enough of a challenge for a certain elitist part of the player base. I'm not suggesting to make any changes to contest mode itself or the idea of racing for world's first. I think contest mode is completely sensible to equal out the chances for everyone who wants to race. I just think it would feel more like an united community, if everyone could start at the same time with the circumstances one wants to chose. Like I said, people who would prefer to run normal mode should not be able to officially take part in world's first race. Besides, you could just share your opinion without being that rude.

If you don’t want to do contest mode, wait until day 2.
