Sooooooo about Toland
Mad man mad about hive, will he appear this season or in witch queen

5 RepliesIf Osiris really is dead and somehow doesn’t come back in a physical form, I hope he turns into a ball of light like Toland. Then those two can bicker with each other in the ascendant plane.

6 RepliesEven though it's a VERY fine line, Toland is in love with the concept of the Sword Logic but ins relatively indifferent to the lesser desires of the hive. Think of the Taken King and the Kingsfall Raid. Toland wasn't mad that we killed Oryx and stopped his rampage. Toland was furious with us that we didn't use the Logic of the blade to kill the First Navigator and that we didn't take his power for ourselves. It's why he calls us "Opener of Vacancies." Toland is, as far as I can tell, the closest thing to the relatively rare, true-neutral character we've seen in Destiny.

Honestly I hope he shows up in Witch Queen. The fun of Toland as a character is that his obsession with the Hive and the Darkness led him to giving up his ghost, Light and life to further study them in the Ascendant realm. Even with all that knowledge though, he’s more of an observer than anything else. Willing to throw a few scraps our way, but much more interested in seeing our struggle against the Dark.

2 RepliesHe has transcended death in a way akin to the Hive. He has his own very small throne world that exists in the sea of screams. Although he now exists without form, he’s not dead nor is he capable of being any kind of boss.

Nobody died, they went to the ascendant plane, they will be rescued by Zavala himself who will become a man and get out of his chair

I hope they do some matrix type thing where we are all trapped in whatever machinations she’s set up for us and he’s our Morpheus.
