Ensuring my appeal gains visibility

Hi everyone. My account got permabanned today :( I'm a CS student and do game development on the side. Earlier today, I was running a memory profiler on my game built in Unity while Destiny 2 was minimized, running in the background. This profiling software can function identically to a cheat software. It's an open source project called "CheatEngine". Really useful (not in this case!). Once I was finished debugging my software, I tab back into Destiny 2 to see the dreaded "Not So Fast!" Popup. I've already submitted a ban appeal but I'm somewhat worried it won't even be seen by Bungie unless I beg for mercy on social media. I've included ample proof of my identity in the appeal, including things like my ID, school transcript and a screenshot of my GitHub account to try and prove that I in fact could have ended up in this weird situation. I'd really hate for my relationship with Destiny to end through such a silly error. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. Everyone that knows me knows that I would never compromise my relationship with Bungie as a player. Love you all. - Garrett AKA Shymyn https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/254/3833662/Shymyn

  • The team that reviews appeals does not review the forums or social media. If you have filed the appeal it will be reviewed but may not be answered.

      • You call it a “silly error”, but running CheatEngine (even if not for d2 directly) is a huge no-no. You shouldn’t have too much confidence in your appeal, as it’s slim to none for being overturned.
