Hmmmm, It is possible. Shin Malphur never died but was blessed by the traveler to have powers which is weird.

  • [I’ve actually got two theories as to why Malphur was so strong with the light compared to other causal beings. 1: he died in childbirth and before the doctors or whatever brought him back the light found a home inside him; 2: he’s a unique one in a million person born with the fire of the light as opposed to a dim spark. Again, these are just theories, so they could be wrong. But we have to take any theory, even my own, with a grain of salt because causal minds like our own can barely comprehend paracausal powers like the Light and the Darkness.]

  • No, when dregs killed his parents, he saw a spark of light before someone killed the dregs. (I forget which lore book it is in) The "he died as a baby but was revived as a guardian but then the ghost died" us a theory. Also, if that theory was true, then how would he be able to weild light as a weapon? He was blessed by the traveler when he was younger by a spark of light.

And the reason he wasn’t able to use the light as a weapon no matter what the reason for his strength in the light is, is the fact that without a ghost it seems that most lightbearers can’t actually use it. But as I said before because the light is a paracausal force channeled through paracausal entities like the traveler and the ghosts, we can’t fully understand it. We can understand things like the outputs of the light and a few of the limitations it has, but we will never understand things like how it chooses those that become guardians or the precise way the traveler and the ghosts interact with it. So to shorten that entire thing, we can’t know for sure because paracausality is hard to understand.]

  • The thing is, he died when he was a baby, and was revived by a ghost that died later. Thats why he had the light in him. This is in the ghost stories lorebook. Confessions of hope.

  • Then how does he remember his birth parents being killed by dregs?? Guardians forget there past after they are revived.

  • Because his parents died after he was risen.

  • But he remembers his birth parents though. That means he was never risen by a ghost. He is an anomaly.

  • Yes, he was. He died in confession of hope part one, the ghost revived him. In confession of hope part 2, his birth parents died, and he was rescued by another family.

  • Go read the lore book, Letters of a Renegade. In chapter 3 it will say that he has had 3 fathers. Which means he remebers his birth parents.(his first father was his birth father, his second was a man who adopted him, and his third is Jaren Ward, who also adopted him after Palamon was destroyed.)Which means he was never risen by a ghost. Which means that sign malphur never died as a baby and was risen by a ghost but then the ghost died.

  • Dude, his first father died AFTER he was risen. He can remember things after he was revived.

  • OK this is going no where. Let's agree to disagree and part ways from this argument, OK? I respect your side of the debate but we keep denying each others opinion so we should just stop.
