Ever since this morning's update on XBox, whenever I access the Postmaster in the tower, the screen is really dark, making it hard for me to make out whatever he's holding for me. The postmaster in HELM on the other hand seems very faded, and also hard to see.
It's only the Postmasters I get this bug, all the other vendors and NPCs are fine.
Please fix.

A few users have mentioned this, but for visibility I'll reiterate it. You can resolve this by dismissing that screen as if a vendor was giving you dialogue. Bungie is aware of the issue and they're investigating.

Someone must of forgot a semi colon, I see they worked on the helm interface, so maybe they connected?

Press cancel button once.

Edited by kellygreen45: 3/17/2021 6:07:31 PMYES. That is a SUPER-annoying bug...... It isn't just on Xbox...it is VERY much a thing on PS5.

The Postmaster has fallen to darkness.
-
A friend I play destiny with on PS4 has limited sight in one eye and this is causing them severe problems. How do you make it more visible on PS4?
-
Working as intended.
-
it's not just the screen, I lost a bright engram and 3 shards after the update, I had about only 7 items there
-
Good thing I checked before reporting the same thing, thanks for reporting.
-
I don't know if it has been reported as happening on PC but it is occurring there as well.
-
Same here on PS4
-
I should claim that I accidentally deleted my Eyes of Tomorrow because I couldn’t see what I was deleting. Y’all think it will work?
-
just press b bro
-
Oh that's simple It's empty

On PC I usually only play one character and I never saw this problem with that one character. Then I logged in to a different character I haven't touched in several months which began the Beyond Light campaign. During the first mission, I was claiming armor rewards from the season pass that had accumulated to raise my light level some. My character slots were full so some items I had claimed from the season pass ended up going to postmaster. I freed up space then tried opening DIM to transfer those items from postmaster to my character, but the transfer button was not available in DIM, I'm guessing because Bungie restricts postmaster activity during the intro mission for some reason. After I finished the mission I went to the tower, and that's when I saw the postmaster screen was really dark. Now the postmaster always has the same dark screen for the rarely used character AND my other main character.

Happens on pc as well.

I don’t have this bug on ps4 but a bug I do have is my ghost will not load in the inventory, I cannot even see what mods I have on it etc. and what’s floating around my guardians head is not my ghost. Very strange. I’ve loaded, reset etc but still no change to this.

I have this issue on PS4. In order to further reduce the size of the game, I believe Bungie is phasing out the Postmaster altogether. This move will also solve the problem of blues pushing valuable items out of the Postmaster such as shaders, legendary ships, and 53+ stat rolled armor pieces. However, solo flawless grandmaster nightfall completions will grant an Adept Postmaster, which will hold 42 items and auto-delete blues after you reach the hard cap each season.

Same thing happened to me I thought it was the TV, and after I ruined all the TV settings I realized it was the game

Edited by Bumblebee793: 3/17/2021 3:30:47 PMIt's similar to when a vendor gives you a bit of dialogue, where the inventory dims but pressing back will clear it. My guess? The postmaster has some unintentional dialogue for us, but there is currently no way to confirm that we received it. If the usual confirm button doesn't work, than this confirmation could mean we have to accept some unknown item from it to fix it My only question is, why would the postmaster in the tower have this. None of the recent fixes would really have anything to do with it. Unless it's related to an unreleased quest and they goofed some of the postmaster coding.
