12 man activities, in my opinion, have gotten a lot of people engaged with endgame stuff. For some people, it’s a chance to finally complete the raid, or for people who’ve done it dozens of times,
It’s a way to freshen things up a little.
Obviously, the concern would be lag and connection issues, but, as long as it’s not mandatory and it’s not frequent, it should be fine.

With all the 12 man stuff going on Its made it even harder to find a way into endgame stuff

I don’t think a 12 man activity that’s actually designed to be difficult would really be all that fun. As toxic as a Six person activity is. The words SNAFU and fustercluck comes to mind.

1 ReplyIt has definitely made the boring repetitive end game more fun to play. People would be upset if their “adept” weapons don’t feel special though so it will be fixed when the grandmaster drops. Or hopefully they just cancel the grandmaster for another week and these 12 man shit shows can continue. They should have a couple weeks each season where this becomes a legit thing though.

1 ReplyI personally would like to see the 12 man activities stay in some form or another. It has been a lot of fun in nightfalls, pressage, dungeons and raids. Trying to use the guided games feature to help people learn activities in a 12 man could be beneficial. That way sherpas can teach each role while being backup dps (keep the heat off the learner) to allow the learner the ability to focus on the mechanic. Probably need to add a little more difficulty to keep from getting boring (more ads would likely do the trick). Could also put limits on how many times a 12 person could be run per character and keep GM nightfalls and raid races at their standard numbers to keep true endgame an actual challenge. Just my 2 cents.

It's clear that it's possible. Even if theres no 12 man but a 9 man or 6 man activities should be a thing. It's just that much fun. They should make more menagerie type activities
-
10 RepliesYou realize if 12 man was a thing mechanics would be more plentiful and it would be harder, so 12 man is not a good idea especially for people who haven't done the raid they would be further exiled to never doing it. And would make the already abysmal raiding community smaller because finding 12 is a pain in the ass.

5 RepliesIt Would be just as fun as if they lowered the difficulty settings on 6 man activities or not so punishing failures with wipes, etc. You know where I'm going. What is the thing that makes 12 man fun? The lower difficulty level, the fast completions, the lower punishment on "maybe I'm not as good as others, but I don't feel I'm a weight on my fireteam's backs". Basically playing for fun, you know, as a game should be

2 Repliesi haven't done any 12 man activities. I'm sure its fun playing around in 12 man teams for a bit of novelty but it doesn't need to stay. It will just make every activity ridiculously easy.

It was the only way I was going to get divinity. I did two div runs before then we couldn't kill the boss because a lot of people did know the boss fight. I think we had 11 guardians and got it done. Finally

8 RepliesEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 3/11/2021 1:15:27 AMYou're actually playing 6 player content with 12 players. It's not 12 player activities. 12 player content would be just as hard as the 6 man content with 6 players, probably more difficult (12 eligible to mess up vs 6). It can be hard to find 6 players to play together, imagine 12 competent players?
-
1 ReplyOnly if there would be matchmaking. I have a hard enough time finding enough people for 6 player activities...
-
This is easily solved bungie put it up for a vote majority wins, i can see it being that difficult to lock 12 mans out of the grand master or new raids and leave the old raids alone. And then after a yr or 6 months open them up, its a challenge at first but after your 20th 30th completion its -blam!-ing boring 12 just is refreshing.
-
How about 12v12 Combined Arms? 👀
-
Lol thats not the point of endgame. I'm glad they're going away.
-
1 ReplyI agree it should be a thing but it would kill the game if it was an everyday activity . They should bring it in the last two to three weeks of the season so it doesn’t get stale . It has been a blast for sure !!!
-
Likely going away 3/16.
-
They should bump the bosses health up 2x and see if people still like it
-
great way for everyone to get Divinity, 1K, raid gear

Especially when you can bring in some younger players who find raid mechanics difficult. You give em a taste of the glory.

Unless bungie adds activities designed for 12 man, no it doesnt.. it ruins the purpose of earning precious loot for endgame. Imagine how hard you worked for the Grandmaster Title only to see 12 people blow through it with ease?? Imagine you earning a raid seal only to see 12 people getting it off the backpack of others? It was fun while it lasted, it needs to go

Edited by KayOsS882: 3/11/2021 7:33:14 AMToday, I probably had the most fun since coming back to destiny 2. Got into 12 man team and we literally went through a lot of the activities. Every week, I dread the reset because I kept getting rejected due to my light level. But the last two weeks, I as able bump up my LL significantly due to this glitch. Even learn how to do the GOS raid and also got divinity as well.

16 RepliesI am literally having FUN. That’s the keyword here. Gaming is meant to be fun, not a chore. 12 man is undeniably a good laugh and it has engaged me in playing everyday because of that keyword. FUN.

i think ppl are just having fun with a large group all playing together, not against eachother.
