Okay first off no offense but i dont really think bungie cares your one gamer out of thousands and thousands let's set that straight Now since I can understand both sides of this let's offer a possible solution to stop posts like this and others from reoccurring as well as attack this problem at the base relating to armor. Proposed solution-No new armor any more you get one base set one for warlock, hunter, and titan that dont change they all have the same static base stats to start with but then they can be upgraded with materials and mods in each of the 6 slots, okay the next part then every piece of armor you get in game is not armor anymore but an ornament that way you can look the way you want and have the stats you desire. Edit I know universal ornaments are becoming a thing but I'm suggesting is to eliminate armor drops and just make them in to ornament drops instead. And to add on to each season increase the level that the gear can go to tier wise so this season it can go to 10 but now this season it goes up by 5 and is at 15,that way materials arent nullified and still are viable for those who are aiming for certain builds and like farming for them.

Yeah all armour sunsetting does is insult the people who choose to use rare materials on them. As I've said before it makes even less sense when you think transmog is coming.

I’m with you on this one. I knew it was coming though, but it still doesn’t make it any less galling. I, like you, spent years coming up with different armour sets for different situations. I had one built around each weekly burn, depending on what super I picked (weapons interchangeable). I loved having the options (I main a Warlock) Solar week? Do I want unlimited grenades, or a basically never ending super? Going to raid, so I’ll suit up with my Well/Phoenix Protocol, high intellect set. Maybe today I want to run a bottom tree void/Nazarec’s Sin with really high grenade recharge. Messing about with builds was one of my ‘things’, and yeah, I can still do it to a degree, but MW’ing different sets just isn’t going to happen any more. But you know, it’s important that we get to “play the way we want”......

I'm also a beta D1 player. Why do people feel the need to flex that? Lol! It will be fine. Your armor was at least a year old. You should have had time to save up materials to use on your future set.

Yeah, it sucks. But once you accept the nonsense, you’ll find it is manageable if you only really use one loadout. Especially as cores/prisms and shards are a bit easier to get now. But that is where the problem lies, it doesn’t give you much incentive to experiment with different exotics or multiple characters/subclass loadouts. That’s my problem with it.

Most of us planned ahead when we saw this coming.

Imagine being surprised by something that’s been talked about for over a year and that has already been implemented all throughout last season. Don’t complain of u don’t feel like keeping up with a game.

You don’t have to grind, also sunsetting is not a problem you are if you’re using gear that old
