PvP abused by stasis Hunters with Bakris

Enough is enough... stasis Hunters with Bakris is all I see in PvP. Literally. Running either Felwinter or Crimson. 120 handcannons are now basically unbeatable in 99% of the situations. In the top 10 meta there are [b]7[/b] handcannons. Is this the state of PvP now? Omg how did we manage to end up so bad?? Is there any point at all in using other weapon types? Is it either handcannons or nothing again? Are we back to Forsaken with Luna & Not forgotten? Is there any point at all in running something other than Hunter? All I keep ending up against is stasis hunters. Stasis has completely wiped all other subclasses for PvP.

  • I switched to a hunter for a while but quickly got bored and went back to my warlock main. Stasis plus damage boosting fragment plus proximity truthteller is dope.

  • Who would have thought Hunters would be using the new subclass and the new exotic that ties in with it.. It's almost like it was planned or something.

    • Top tree dawn the best class in pvp. Warlock stasis with ahamkaras and 100 strength is ez mode. If they nerf stasis to the ground, dawn is going to get nerfed next. And it will be all stasis ruined in the end. Hit hunter, then titans, then back to warlocks. Until its all garbage. Gotta love this community.

      • Bakris isn't OP. Its on a 21 second cooldown at the minimum. And leaves a bright blue trail showing where they went

          120s have a one second ttk. That is slower then mida, 600 rpms, 140s, 340 or 390 pulses(literally anything).Also if you're scared of 2 taps run 9 resilience and avoid a gunfight for 3.5 seconds after a teamate dies. So how again are they op ?

        • I play Titan and get along just fine. Just because hunters have a bigger bag of tricks doesn't necessarily mean they're better.

        • As gamers, we abuse what’s broken. I hate it, but I’ll acknowledge it. I personally think that primaries are in a good spot. I don’t play Comp, but in casual play, I haven’t used all the archetypes, but I have had a good experience with Hand Cannons, Pulses, Scouts, and Auto Rifles. Crimson does stand out in my opinion. Felwinter’s is very powerful. Hunters are just the most user friendly in my opinion, but don’t let that steer you away from the rest. Top tree Dawnblade is still my favorite PvP subclass. I do think that the Stasis subclass on the Hunter has taken over their respective class though.

Stasis has completely wiped all other subclasses for PvP.[/quote] Im litterally leveling a titan due to its absolutely insane mobility and sheer extreme ability to do everything with stasis. Warlock is damn near untouchable in the right hands with an easy 2 ranged melee build that freezes supers for a t-bag shutdown. Meanwhile the hunter gets a super that takes 3 to 5 buisness days to cast and some slow abilities. Outside of shatterdive being busted nothing comes close. Mask of bakris has such a long cooldown that it can only cause issues for overly passive players.

            Bakris is fine. If it’s gonna be taking up an exotic slot and pushing my dodge cooldown up to 21s, it better be worth it. Stasis as whole is on some different levels of bullshit tho

              • I’m so tired of people saying 120s are “OP” they have a one second TTK. ONE SECOND. Most the majority of weapons in the sandbox have an optimal TTK of .87 seconds. You’re seeing 120s because they are different to use and actually viable for once. Not even to mention if you miss one shot the TTK goes through the roof.

                    1. The Bakris teleport is on like a 20+ second cooldown at minimum and leaves very noticeable path for you to trace and kill the hunter. 2. Lot more to use than hand cannons. High impact pulses and autos can shred them if you land your shots within the proper range. 3. The Titan slide is way more prominent and annoying than Bakris (and even then is easily dealt with) so I don't get this "all I see if Bakris" nonsense.

                      Weird. Why are hand cannons meta again? It used to be more fun when the meta would change by nerfs or over doing increases. They could at least make pulse rifles or scouts op for once to keep things fresh, but D2 has been hand cannons for too long. Different metas at least keep things from becoming stale like PVP is nowadays.

I understand that I may be at a disadvantage but truthfully, overall I still do okay. End o day, I play for 8 Bounties and Pinnacle - there is no other incentive to play Crucible for anymore than that.

                      • If you nerf 120s range, they just become bad 140s, that's the problem. Besides, there's 4 archetype scouts in the game, 3 have a faster TTK and the 4th has the same as 120s.

                        • Bakris is a cool exotic. Shatterdive isn’t too bad in 6v6. Trials is where it is an utter abomination. But trials itself is garbage so whatever.

                        • I seriously don't understand WHY!? you guys complain about us Hunters. Warlock melee is ten times better than us Hunters because Warlocks can frezze with their melee. Also Titans you are just as good as well. I myself am not that good with stasis. So in conclusion you Warlocks and Titans or I guess Hunters need to stop complaining about stasis. I know it can get pretty awful at times and stressful but at the end of the day I just don't really understand why you guys have to complain so much about something that seems to be balanced of stasis at least.
