Yeah, everyone's talking about it but I'm posting it here too.
Specs
Ryzen 5 3600
16GB RAM @ 3600
Sapphire Nitro + RX 5700XT
Game installed on a SSD
I used to play at 1440p on highest settings, I would get an average of ~85 fps. Capped at 90, sometimes dropped to 80. I should be able to get 100-120 fps with these specs but Destiny 2 wasn't the most optimized game in the world to begin with. But with beyond light it's gotten worse. In both the EDZ and Tangled shore my FPS drops below 40 in certain areas, and in PVP I get high framerates but at random points I get huge framerate drops for a few seconds before it getting back to normal. Virtually every area in the game struggles to maintain 60. Needless to say, this is unacceptable performance.
The odd thing is I can Put every setting on low and run the game at 720p and the performance loss is identical. I've tried everything but I can't figure out what's wrong. The new lighting engine likely is at fault here, but there's presumably nothing I can do on my end to solve this.
