Falsely restricted from matchmaking

Okay bungie, I met a team of lag switchers yesterday and I reported them because they ddosed my friend, yet today I wake up, get on d2 and I’m restricted from matchmaking? Not only do you not ban the lag switchers, but you ban me too? This is false restriction as my friends have been playing with me for years and have had no problems with my internet. I really hope that you will revoke my ban as I did nothing wrong

  • Allo there, The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for him to appeal his ban or restriction. Please review the Contact Form: Appeal Ban or Restriction article found here. Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that his ban or restriction will be overturned. • This is, at least, your 2nd time facing a matchmaking restriction. Maybe you should look into your connection/setup more & worry less about other players punishment.

Restrictions are placed manually on accounts with a consistently poor internet connection, negatively impacting the game for others. You’ll be given a warning about your connection, if it continues a two week restriction, and if still there are issues a two month restriction. These are all intended to keep you out of PvP and allow you to fix your connection. If after your two month restriction you still refuse to improve, the third restriction is permanent. (In some cases they are placed on accounts without warning to keep them out of PvP while their account is investigated for suspected cheating.) You can appeal but they will not be lifted early.
