Shotguns weren’t addressed because they’re fine where they’re at... unlike snipers
English
-
um... no? why are fusions useles? Shotguns overstepping their boundaries in terms of range. Snipers while I agree are too easy to use, shotguns are way easier to use as you can shoot someone a room away and kill them with body shots.
-
Right... now we’re just exaggerating
-
No, we're not. Which is the problem
-
Imagine thinking shotguns are easier to use than hold my hand beloved or revoker
-
They are
-
-
You only need to hit half your shots on the body with tons of range
-
Nope. Check the facts supplied. Essentially 11% use Shotguns...no hint at dealing with it 12% use of Snipers... virtually identical in their OVERUSE...and they are nerfed. Fusions 0.4% used. So, get the facts and get real.
-
That’s funny, none of your “facts” prove that shotguns need a nerf. Again, they are completely fine where they are meanwhile snipers most definitely need changes
-
They're the actual percentages. Case closed. Beyond that opinions reign...in all their irrelevance.
-
What part of “11% usage” proves and justifies a nerf? what you don’t understand is that there are limited options to special weapon types in this game (shotguns, snipers, fusions, or GLs). Shotguns and snipers cater to the 2 primary play styles so of course those are going to get the most usage and it all comes down to people’s preferences. But your “fact” of 11% usage doesn’t provide any proof or justification for a nerf.

Edited by Yamabushi999i: 10/23/2020 8:47:18 PMIf you value weapon diversity at all and not having the game being run by special weapons more than one in every five kills being Shotgun or Sniper is a big problem and all the justification in the world. They recognise it for Sniper, it's passed them by for Shotgun, whilst they destroyed L.fusions. If you think THAT is game balance then your in cloud cukooland.
-
Your problem seems to be with special weapons as a whole and more specifically the ammo economy that surrounds it.
-
Edited by Yamabushi999i: 10/23/2020 9:22:05 PMNope. The special ammo economy is a part of it and was very much mentioned in the OP. The statistical overuse is the problem, perks and mods distort the archetype and ammo balance, an uneven unequal treatment by Bungie exacerbates this.
-
I’ve explained how simply stating a usage isn’t sufficient justification for a nerf but you do you. Shotguns are completely fine in the state they are in sorry you can’t understand that
-
Edited by Yamabushi999i: 10/23/2020 9:26:34 PMI've explained that usage figures alone are THE litmus test of what is and what is not overused. Facts. You want opinion based justifications for nerfs...which are worthless, utterly subjective.
-
Usage doesn’t necessarily always correlate to how broken something is, more just popularity
-
Dude you used the usage rate for the exact same thing
-
What?
-
Of course it does and opinions on the other hand are worthless
-
claiming opinions are worthless is definitely a choice
-
In this case, opinions are worthless. They are nerfing them cus they are dominating( in this case, overused)crucible. Their numbers for dominating are apparently 12%. If shotguns are at 11% then I would say that falls into damn near the same category of "dominating". Opinions are all different, numbers don't lie. My opinion is shotguns are prevalent and need balancing. And Bungies logic using numbers to nerf snipers should apply to shotguns.
