The only thing wrong with all special weapons is the ammo economy. Get a couple of kills with the right scavenger perk equipped and you can use a special like a primary.

I agree the current Special ammo economy including the use of mods is certainly a big part of this problem.

I think if they eliminate special scavenger and ammo carryover to the next round the economy would be perfect
