Whose big brain idea was it to alt+F4 the only used hand cannon archetype? How are you gonna look at 2 straight seasons of Gnawing Hunger and Revoker, and nerf hand cannons harder than autos, and leave Revoker and Arbalest alone? You’re worried about an over abundance of hand cannons? It’s been Gnawing Hunger/Summoner/Revoker central. Seriously who the hell is making the decisions in the sandbox changes...

1. Every single other archetype is having the range nerf de-facto reverted completely. 2. 140s WERE plenty good, but 150s overshadowed them in every single relevant stat, on top of having an intrinsic mobility buff. This, plus the two archetypes being so similar means one's got to fold, and if the rumors are true that they're effectively reverting the 600 AR buff (like they said they wouldn't), then the dynamic won't change beyond 600 ARs being completely and utterly useless in the face of 150 scouts and Sunshot 3. 150 Scouts and Sunshot

I use 180s.

I mean like its not gonna effect you much you'll just get 3-10 more felwinter kills a game.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 10/24/2020 9:12:55 AMI'll be honest, the only reasons the other hand cannon archetypes weren't used is because of 150's. And didn't they nerf gnawing already?

-blam!- cannons deserved it.

The decision has become to punish precision weaponry and slow them to the point where they will be significantly less competitive. This while maintaining virtually recoilless weapons with 43+ bullets in a clip that enjoy the range of pulse rifles and dominate submachine guns of the same rpm. It would have made more sense to make 140s into 150s and you would see less dire/spares. It makes very little sense to run anything other than Suros, Vigilance, or side arms/shotty unless we see an influx of new PvP maps... As it has been presented. The Gnawing/Summon/Suros will be most prevalent. The people that want to tell others they don't rely on Autos will slaughter with Vigi. And Hunters will be slowing you in the darkest corners of the maps with short-range dominated.

Well that's probably why they got rid of them, because they were the only ones being used. I personally don't use hand cannons, but i feel like it's a good change. It evens the playing field for all people who use hand cannons especially if you're on PC (unless you're using a 180 lol). On console though, why even use a hand cannon lol. The recoil (for me) has always seemed a bit too extreme and bouncy, and i can never see where my next shot is going. If you're on console and using a hand cannon to begin with, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage because literally every other weapon is so much more user friendly.
