I've been to a beach in Florida and one in Rocky Point, Mexico. My great-grandma lived in Florida at the time, so we visited her once and went to the beach while we were there. Two things I remember from that trip: my great-grandma drove us and my mom was scared for our lives; and I was boogie boarding and ended up needing a lifeguard to save me after a wave pushed me under. For the Mexico trip, we were there because my stepdad used to build and race dune buggies, and his next race was in Rocky Point. I don't really remember much about this one except for a woman selling mangoes on sticks on the beach.

  • Oh, that had to be a bit scary. Glad it turned out okay. I love the beaches in Mexico and the families that vend food right on the beach. We went to one in Sayulita that you had to hike through the jungle a bit and then an old graveyard and on the other end was a beautiful beach where the sand had a bunch of minerals in the water that would shimmer gold as the waves rolled in.
