Unfortunately if you never linked a platform account to that profile, it's now impossible to log into it. At the moment it's not possible to recover an orphaned profile.

I'm sure I had it linked to my xbox live gamertag, but I am struggling to set it up. I believe I linked it (at the sites prompting) long ago, back before they changed hands to activision.

Would you happen to know the exact profile? Or at least the username?

Just checked my email and found the cofirmation of the registration along with newsletters and notices pre and post destiny launch. I have the username and the address associated with it. So how do I move forward?

Edited by ADragonWithin: 7/30/2020 1:37:30 PMIf you migrated your login to your XBL ID credentials prior to the cutoff point for it, then simply logging into Bungie.net with your XBL ID will log you into the profile. If it does not, then your Bungie.net profile is now, and has already been for quite some time, orphaned, and is archived and not able to be recovered for login. You can still view it, but not log into it. Bungie.net no longer has its own direct login method, and if that's the only login method you have ever set up and you didn't migrate to the XBL ID login when they were changing away from the other login methods, then there's nothing to be done.

Edited by test reclamation: 7/30/2020 9:35:46 PMa) I thought I had memories of logging in using the platform login. Is there anyway for bungie to check for certain on their end if the account is indeed orphaned? before I abandon it needlessly. b) How do you view a legacy account? c) Do you know when this change from direct to platform login occured? I have emails from bungie from 2011 through 2016 and there is no mention of it there. Thanks for your help.

I believe so.
