D2 Constantly Downloading

Not sure what's happened, but since this week's update, my game has constantly been downloading on Steam. It started Tuesday and Steam showed that there was a 5 GB update. So, reluctantly, I downloaded it but by the time it was done, it queued up another download that was 89.5 GB for D2. I let it download overnight and found that there was a disk write error. Note that my install folder is on my SSD, which isn't the same drive as my OS. After that update, I restarted Steam to make sure it wasn't just a fluke and another 7 GB update was queued. It just finished and yet another update of 49 GB is pending. I'd rather not run up my monthly data trying to re-download a single game. Is this a known issue? Is there even a fix without having to uninstall and reinstall the entire game yet again? I mean I haven't even touched the game since MAYBE Monday. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Just relaunched Steam after clearing my download cache and I can't even start the game. I press what used to be the Play button and it only prompts me with a download option of the entire game again.

Hello, Please navigate through your library to the download section of Destiny.
1. Right click on Destiny 2 2. Select Properties 3. Navigate to "updates" 4. Select the option to keep the game up to date.
Then, please navigate to "local files" and verify the integrity of the game files. After this, if an update is queued, please let it download.
