Problem reading game content - Verify integrity of game files

So i've had this issue over the past few days where the game will crash at random moments and ask me to verify the integrity of the game files. In the video i've posted along with this post you will see it happen in-game after a gambit match ends. Then i try to relaunch the game 2 more times and cannot even get onto the character screen. I then go ahead and do as it asks and verify the integrity of the game files. It comes back all clear so i decide to relaunch the game one more time, and no luck it has crashed again. Dealing with a crash every now and then was fine, it really sucks especially when losing a flawless card, but now i cannot even get back into the game. Worst case scenario i re-install the game, but i came here first to see if anyone can help. Any ideas? Also whilst trying to post this i found another bug, I have 5 tags, but it says maximum of 6 tags. (Turns out this is because it was trying to add some tags on top of my tags and counting those as well. Should possibly mention that)

  • So i've had no luck, this is definitely a game issue. I have since re-installed windows completely, removed everything. Re-downloaded the 87GB of Destiny 2 all over again. Booted it up, got through to character screen, flew to the tower and crashed on the way there, with this same error message popping up. Here is the crash file. https://pastebin.com/gscX0qpK

    • Thanks for your report. You may want to verify the integrity of your game files in the Steam app to see if that helps with your issue. If that doesn't help, here are more suggestions that may help you:
1. Go to your Games library, right-click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages "then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files again. 2. Make sure that your HDD/SDD isn't full. 3. Update your drivers or do a fresh install 4. Some players have reported that changing the game language may resolve the issue. 5. Make sure everything in the D2 Steam folder isn’t set to read-only. 6. This post suggests moving your game files around. 7. You may want to uninstall and reinstall D2 and Steam if none of these suggestions help.
I see you've got lot going on on your PC as you play D2. Are those programming/compiling apps?

        • Sounds like corrupted data on your hard drive. Try a scan and repair.
