Ghost Shells

The recent 2.8.1 patch notes stated the Trials of Osiris ghost shell, Lantern Shell, was given Crucible perks retroactively. I'd like to see some other ghosts given this treatment as well. One shell that comes to mind is the Crimson Shell from Crimson Days 2020. I considered the event to be Crucible focused and I LOVE the look of the Crimson Shell. I grinded Bright Dust all week to earn it only to discover it doesn't roll with Crucible related perks. It only rolls with planetary scanners. I was really hoping to have a new awesome looking Ghost to replace my old Sugary Shell for when I jump into the Crucible. This same issue applies to the Guardian Games 2020 class Rival Shells. Awesome designs and fixed perks, nothing but plain planetary scanners on the random perk. Just as a bit of an insight into how I use ghost shells, I have one shell for each planetary destination and the three core activities, Strikes, Crucible and Gambit. I focus on three perks: Combo Detector, XP, and Glimmer. Theme plays a part in my selection as well. Although other shells might be better, I prefer the Furtive Shell for Gambit as I worked hard to earn it in season 4 and it has the Gambit look. I don't use the Honorable Duelist Shell from season 8 despite it being tough to earn as I find the design to be too plain. Ghost Shells could use a bit of a rework. Perk distribution is all over the place. Aside from Guiding Light being too much of a must have, certain event ghosts only seem to roll "Insert-destination Scanner" perks. I feel a better system could look like having the shell as an ornament and the perks being mods. Perhaps a favorites system could be implemented for the ornaments as there are way too many ghost shells to display at once like the armor universal ornaments currently do. A full ghost shell rework would take a while to implement and is low on the priority list but it'd be nice.
