First of all, the magazine size of hard light is too high. With suros you can’t really spam bullets, because the magazine runs out quickly with spinning up. The bigger difference between the two is that hard light has no damage falloff. If you use suros out of the medium range, you will just tickle your opponents. People will say “ but you lose aim assist at long range”. It’s true, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t land shots at pulse rifle range and almost at scout rifle range. So how can Bungie adjust it fairly?

Fetch back the screen shake and bring falloff to the ricochet rounds.

Exactly

7 RepliesEdited by Wes: 4/15/2020 5:27:45 PMAutos are held in line by: Stability; Recoil direction; Requirement for constant line of sight; Damage falloff; Mag size; and Aim assist. Every one of those things affect Suros somehow. Hard Light? 100 stability; 100 recoil direction; Double damage ricochet rounds; No damage falloff; Large mag size; and 100 aim assist. Gee. Objectively, I would be shocked if Hard Light wasn't a problem, considering its ease of use is through the roof (see stats above) and its TTK is the one of the fastest within it's intended range. I say Bungie tweaks Hard Light and then leaves the rest as is. A Suros + Beloved or a Suros + shotgun meta would leave way more room for pulses and hand cannons than Hard Light and Revoker.

3 RepliesSpare Rations is actually probably more used than Hard Light still. Could be wrong but thats all i see in Iron Banner and comp.

Edited by WulfPak666: 4/16/2020 12:50:28 PMI actually liked it better when people were running around with Luna back in the day. At least you actually needed some amount of skill to get the weapon and use it optimally in PvP. Now all you need to do is mindlessly shoot down a hallway and drop half the team in 5 shots from bouncing bullets 🙃

try uninstall the game

6 RepliesAnteus wards need a nerf.
-
14 RepliesYawn! Already calling for nerf’s and not thinking how it would affect PvE.
-
4 RepliesSince Hard Light is obtainable by anyone why nerf it?
-
1 ReplyBecause u use suros and not hardlight would be my guess.
-
They both need adjustment and surros benefits from a smaller mag with the spinning up perk and bottom half of the mag dealing more damage... any auto with the ttk values they have need adjustment.
-
7 RepliesThe 100 stability with no damage drop needs to be looked at. It is literally the only gun in the game with either of those traits, much less both of them at once.
-
2 RepliesWanna beat hard light like literally every time, try countering it with a rapid fire pulse, they shit on hard light and most autos actually
-
I still have np killing hardlight users with hand cannons and sidearms. I just did it yesterday in iron banner while doing crucible bounties. The only time hardlight becomes a problem is when there are more then one of them shooting you at time. Every weapon becomes a problem under these circumstances.

1 ReplyReduce its mag to 43 and decrease the ricochet multiplier from 2.0 to 1.6 (15.75x1.6 = 25.2 = headshot damage). Nothing else needs to be touched besides maybe its aim assist. I think nerfing its damage fall off would be foolish and would quite honestly ruin its pvp aspect. Without that effect its range would be 25 meters due to its stat if not lower and wouldnt offer much other than mag size and depreciating ricochet damage. No way in hell would it stay relevant if they did that.

3 RepliesHardlight had screenshake to hold it back. Then they removed the screenshake but didn't tone down the weapon itself. The solution is simple, bring back the screenshake.

4 RepliesEdited by joshjda: 4/16/2020 1:22:55 AMThe magazine size keeps player spray and praying down hallways for extended amounts of time leaving them wide open to being flanked tbh. You don't want to change that. Just change up your strategy. When they start firing down a hallway back out go around and hit them behind easy kill every time. You don't really want to be rushing any full auto weapons tbh. It goes badly. I've seen people talk about reducing the ricochet damage for hard light I could get behind that move. That seems to be where most people have their problem double damage off a ricochet around corners hurts. However you can't cut that too much or you can't shoot the ground infront of shotgunners to stop them.

13 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 4/15/2020 1:30:57 PMThe magazine is fine. The lack of damage drop off (plus or minus the bonus richocet damage) needs to be looked at. Both of those were given to Hard Light to make up for the lack of accuracy caused by the excessive screen shake. That screen shake has now been taken away (retuning....plus catalyst)...but those two perks have not been re-examined. I think adding damage drop off back would still leave the weapon feeling powerful, but make it less of an outlier that dominates in multiple range envelopes.

6 RepliesI feel like everyone forgot Pulse Rifles exist.
-
it needs to be disabled until its looked at
-
Agree. I have used both and hardlight is superior due to range, ricochet and magazine size. You can often kill people when they take cover. Suros is good but not ridiculous

Edited by MelissaJDiamonds: 4/15/2020 2:39:35 PMOnly hard light dose if you go on to destiny 2 tracker that weapon is most over used weapon in PvP hits number one spot my self don't mind but for all those out there which is a large majority it needs to be hit hard . I feel sorry for those going for pinical weapons like not forgotten or Luna's I'm lucky I did all my pinicals a few seasons back and have the titles but for those who are trying to get them it needs to be sorted out .

3 RepliesLoL only potatoes use HL in PvP.

If they give hard light less flinch and buff pulse rifles it could solve problem. Although if you get surprised by hard light you don’t even have time to react, you are dead before you can even turn your neck three inches to see who’s shooting you. Ridiculous!!!!
-
1 ReplyIt’s a easy way to identify under performing pvp players. Poor skilled pvp players always gravitate towards clutch weapons.
-
Nah mate, there both getting ridiculous. (ARs in general really) hard light is just the worst offender, there all OP at this point. Theres absolutely f*ck all that can out gun them, it ridiculous and needs locked frankly!!!
