Warlock Exotic Winter's Guille is Terrible

It's still useless even when pairing it with devour! Having a slower melee as a warlock doesn't really effectively utilize "warlords sigil" (Eliminating enemies with melee attacks increases your melee damage) but that's all it does vs Wormgod Caress and it's perk "Burning Fists" (Melee kills increase melee damage for a period of time (4 seconds same as Winters Guille) additional kills extend duration and Increase effects! Yet Wormgod Caress is completely superior to Winters guille. Constant recharge and synergy with throwing hammer and damage stack x3 with roaring flames. Bottom tree sunbreakers also synergizes with Wormgod Caress! Top tree sentinel is basically devour refreshing health with each melee kill! Bottom tree striker with "reversal" immediately trigger health regen and synergizes with "knockout" critically wounding an enemy or breaking their shields Increase melee range and damage! Yet all Warlocks have with Winters Guille is DEVOUR! There's no synergy with this Exotic So I'd suggest extending Winters Guille "Warlord's Sigil" from 4 seconds of Increased melee damage to 8 seconds! Increases melee speed perk stack of "Warlord's Sigil" up to 5x! And one additional effect to help it out! In keeping with the Theme of it's Name Winter's as well as the ornament "Death of Winter" as it applies a chunk of ice to your arm. Allow it to grant "Chilled" "Chilled" is an effect only found on cursed thrall only on Mars! Which if you take damage form the explosion you become Chilled! Cutting Sprint Speed in half and apply a frozen effects to your visual screen! On all melee hits would "chilled" be applied!

  • Warlocks have always had the most inferior exotics compared to the other classes in the game, thats always been a thing. The only exotic warlocks have over other classes is the one that grants mobility because it has a hidden perk where you move faster than other classes with similar exotics while crouching. Thats it though, thats the only added bonus it has over the stompee

    • Titans need to be nerfed, ive been saying it since forsaken, they are so stacked for success its stupid. After i heard that several devs play as titan, i began to realize. They do not care about other classes as much, least of all warlock. Others need a buff or titan needs a nerf

        Ya know I made a post like this a while ago during black armory, suggesting a much needed duration buff. To be honest the damage isn’t actually all that bad once you get max stacks, the issue is that getting there is a pain because of how fast the timer runs out, and even when you get max stacks keeping the timer up can be difficult. Hopefully your post gets more attention from bungie than mine did (absolutely none). I’d love to see more warlock exotics actually be useful.

        • The "Chilled" thing is a slam dunk. Also, finishers should count as a melee kill. And if they arent want to buff the duration, it should at least decrease one stack at a time. But needs both those to be worth using as a suboptimal choice in PvP

              • The damage buff should last until you die. The timer is WAY too short. I like the “chilled” idea. Maybe a charged melee could do the chilled effect?

                • I like your suggestions for making Winter's Guile more appealing. Chilled effect also adds some interesting interactions in PvP. But like someone else already mentioned the real problem is Warlocks don't have the melee build potential of Hunters or Titans. And given the lore behind Warlocks I can kind of see why. Titans are more known for fisting things. Looking at the Warlock subclasses they seem to be grenade heavy in how they want you to build your character. Most melee perks Warlocks have aren't for dealing damage. But for buffing other parts of the subclasses IE giving you nade energy or allowing you to heal after kills (not just melee kills). But none of the Warlock melee related exotics also work around this function with the lone exception of Sunbracers. But the melee exotics of both Hunters and Titans synergize amazingly well with some of their Subclasses.

                  • The main issue with it is that Warlocks don't have a melee-based class tree.
