Hear me out: what if we reverse engineered the weapon on the Dreadnaught?
The ship is the size of Earth’s moon and it’s weapon managed to create a giant hole in the rings of Saturn, plus wipe out damn near the entire Awoken fleet with a single activation. What if we can have a team of Guardians infiltrate the Dreadnaught to scan the weapon systems and gather whatever intel they can get their hands on, send the data to Rasputin so he can construct some blueprints for a weapon, then we build this weapon and use it to take out the Almighty?

Think smaller. And more boring. And grindier. And reskinable. Then maybe Bungie will consider it.

Why don’t we just move Earth

Let the Almighty crash and end of story for this game
-
We don’t have a throne world, so it’s pretty much impossible.

Edited by Grays_KS27: 3/13/2020 7:02:46 PMThe Dreadnaught’s weapon was a tool designed by Oryx’s Daughters that allowed Oryx to weaponize his Throne by pushing it outwards. This was only possible because Oryx himself had the power to flip his Throne inside-out into the real world and expand it into reality. Any being caught in it was challenged by his power and will, and eradicated if they were weaker than him (which means everything dies). My point is only Oryx could use the weapon and it can’t be replicated. Even if we could figure out some of the physical constructions of the weapon, there’s a lot of paracausal attributes and it could only be done because of Oryx’s unmatched power. We probably won’t be able to make anything by studying it, and actually making something of that scale to take out the Almighty would take huge amounts of resources and time. So my suggestion to destroying the Almighty is this: Steal a bunch of Cabal bombs and nuke it Shield Brothers style.

We just need to machinoform the Earth with Vex tech. That way the Earth will gain mass and the Earth's rotation speed will change. It's like putting the ice on top of the ice on top of the water into the water, which makes the water go up.

Or just crash it into the Almighty. If it works and we live? Great, we get to keep on grinding Luke Smith's torturous obsession with bounties. If it blows up the system? Oh well, free of the bounties at least. And Tess. And Eververse. And Luke.

Or.....we could just use the warsats like he plans on doing right now anyway? I also do not know if it would be possible to get the Dreadnaught underway again, let alone in time to intercept The Almighty not to mention the Weapon is impossible for us to use. Good idea but nothing in the Lore allows for it to happen.

Interesting thought with oryx's weapon

12 RepliesOr we just ask the cabal on the leviathan to eat it like Nessus.

8 Replies<The problem is that the Dreadnaught's weapon was just Oryx pushing his Throne World out into space. Now that Oryx is perma-dead, and his Throne is non-existent, there's nothing powerful enough to make it again. Nobody else's Throne is that large (except ours and probably Xivu or Savathun's).>
