Make swords secondary weapons

Since swords are currently one of the worst weapons in the game, why not make them secondary weapons (except black talon). I think this could actually make them useful and viable in pvp as well as pve. In pvp I think they should have a damage nerf, if they ever become secondary, and a slower heavy attack. This should mean that landing multiple light attacks consistently will reward the user, or they use a slow heavy attack to get a ohko, like it currently is. Just an idea but I think it could work

  • this is something i have wanted to have for a long time, have some weaker swords or daggers, maybe even hammers be available. obviously heavy versions of these melee weapons would do more damage but this would allow for more variety in your playstyle, i would love to mess around with a full melee loadout. it would really improve the variety of player loadouts, which when they were advertising forsaken they had said was the reason they changed the loadout system in the first place, and if they were really worried that they were going to break things like crucible by giving people melee weapons that dont take heavy ammo then they could just let them do the same amount of damage as a regular melee, they wouldnt be amazing choices for players going in for wins but if you just wanted to try out a melee loadout, it could be a lot of fun.
