Season of opulence and seasons before that had things you were able to redo and not just say that last season is last season and that stuff is gone aswell as quests give us stuff to do WE ACTUALLY CAN DO and don’t get held back because of the season not allowing us to do it. Season pass is a 100% ripoff of other games it’s totally useless and it just stops us from being able to do anything
-
No because bungie studio of over 300 people can’t do more than one thing at once, apparently making opulence nearly killed bungie and high moon studios. But I guess dawn is what you get when it’s pajama day everyday at work
-
Don't see why not
-
We get more loot with current set up than annual pass if anything. We get more to do, not just only end game content. And people were literally saying "Oh annual pass is awful anything is better than this!" and now you are asking for it.

Edited by Oinkthebaconking: 1/28/2020 2:12:28 AMOriginally? Are you new? Destiny originally didn't have seasons. Originally everything you did in the game counted towards a permanent stat, a medal count, a grimiore score, or something that in some way was worth having or doing. Nothing in Destiny 2 is original. The entire concept of starting over every season is highly flawed. Nothing in D2 is worth doing because nothing lasts and new content is just a pale imitation of previous content. By the way, I'm pretty sure Bungie employees spend their off time on this forum pretending to be fans of the current state of despair.
-
I swear some of you are remembering D1 will nostalgia glasses. The complaints about nothing to do cropped up after every major expansion. Just go back and look at the D1 forums and search. I understand people aren't satisfied with the season model, but D1 wasn't "perfect" either. No game developer can pump out the content a fan base can burn through in a month or so. I love Strikes and would play them all the time but there's nothing for me to chase, so I log on now just to run Banshee's Bounties for Cores and maybe run out to the Altar of Sorrows for shit and giggles then log off. Thats maybe an hour a day I'm devoting to D2 in it's current state. Currently, I'm knocking out some of my back log

Edited by G0lden Hunt3r: 1/29/2020 6:53:23 PMD2 is already about 150GB. Keeping more content will made it not fit on consoles anymore.

Edited by Beagler: 1/29/2020 8:23:30 AMIt's a bit of a con that Bungie claims the seasonal structure avoids the periods of drought. We used to get a big expansion plus enough stuff like IB, faction rallies, trials, crimson days solstice etc around the edges to support the expansions. The expansions use to come with a new raid and then later on we would get a prestige version with new loot. We ONLY get the filler now, and not much around the edges to support the thin filler "main" content
-
I’d rather it go back to like d1. Seasons suck and I will never like them. I’m only at rank 45 because I don’t have endless time to grind like some people. If I had known it would be like this I wouldn’t have bought the pass in the first place as fomo models are the worst.
-
Can’t no longer have funding or resources of activision
-
That would require much more work than bungie is willing to do.
-
Want more solid seasons but also dont want that infamous content drought to set in. Bungie is technically a indie dev now and they split their resources between d2 and d3 so I'm not sure a solution to this conundrum will occur for the rest of the d2's lifetime.
-
For what, just so the activity will be there when people decide to do it every blue moon? The game cant keep growing and growing, to have activities there when people decide they wanna do something. We get roughly 3 months per season to do the new activity, if you dont think you will find enough time to justify purchasing that season, then dont.
-
Without Activision or financial assistance from a publisher... no it is not possible. Even with a publisher they struggled to do that old model.
-
I’d rather they just made decent sized dlc every 4 months instead
-
You’re missing the two studios actually responsible for that content unfortunately.

-
I mean I wouldn’t touch the Vex Offensive even if that stayed, it was pretty pointless, I wouldn’t even say that the Sundial is worth playing next season. I’ve gotten all my ideal rolls from the Sundial weapons since it’s so easy to farm them, I’m only going to miss the easy Heavy pinnacle drop

Bungie seem to think players are here to play 24/7 because they're only interested in their core streamers and hardcore players that are already at 1000 power. If you're one of the 85% of the rest of the community that plays maybe a few hours a night or couple of times a week or less, they aren't interested. And yet we're the ones that keep them going. We buy the passes, dlc, alot will purchase via Eververse. Destiny wouldn't survive their current model if it were just the hardcore players financing it. That's where we, the larger community need to hold Bungie to account, stop buying eververse items, stop playing en mass on specific days watch the numbers drop drastically. Only through coordinated action would Bungie be forced to actually stand up and listen to our concerns.
-
No, because Bungie Luke this current model of no work and tons of pay. Would you work if you were getting the same amount of payment? Ok then why should they. They have figured out that actual content is dumb and micro transactions make them a ton of cash. You want better seasons as a community we have to put the eververse out of buisness and Bungie will either shut their doors or actually do work.
-
Edited by Nebutronical: 1/28/2020 3:42:10 PMThey can't achieve the same quality/quantity of content now they are on their own unfortunately. I think making replayable content is fine in general, but these sundial type modes are very repetitive and don't have enough to them to keep them interesting for 3 months at a time.
-
They need to do something instead of this one activity that's just a variation on the previous. That new activity isn't where you're going to spend most of your time and leaving the rest of the game is just destroying it.
-
I mean they are just worse. Overpriced DLC is still overpriced DLC.
-
No without three studios this is their level of content production.
-
They can’t afford that without activision
-
This would be a good explanation regarding your thread.
-
Season passes just need to go. Period. Do proper expansions/DLC's. They obviously are not going to back off of the cash shop angle... having season passes on top of that is just going overboard.
