Possible reckoning change and Trials Gear update.
So Bungie. We know your inability to give any remote answers on Trials coming back, let alone a PvP overhaul.
But PLEASE, instead of leaving this set of gear as antiques to be on a shelf. Give us random rolls, armor 2.0 versions. I want to use them in current content but they all fall flat now with the way armor 2.0 overhauled it all. I want a way to farm the rolls While we do not have trials, Hell remove trials of the nine, make a new take on it and bring the Nine weapons and armor back as a new focused season or something, just anything to make them farmable and viable in the current state of the game.
Now outside of this, change reckoining. I LOVED it back in season of drifter, but nowadays running it is HEAVY chore, remove the blues from the drop table, or simply. if we put in a mote. GIVE US THE REWARD SYSTEM FROM SUNDIAL. If we already banked a mote, we should be allowed to pick a damn weapon instead of dealing with getting 12 blues in a row just to suddenly get a sword or a doomsday with rolls beyond useless.
Make it fun, give us an incentive to keep running it, and for gods sakes do something about the trials gear already, over a year now and barely any word.
I am repeating myself i know but if you won't bring trials back, give us a way to farm new rolls and versions of armor. This is getting ridiculous.
the game is emtying out because there's no incentive anymore.
PS: Stop focusing on eververse for once and revive old content, and Still allowing new content to flourish. make a game, not a market.
EDIT: BUNGIE, move the current T3 items in reckoning to Tier 2, move Tier 2 to Tier 1. THEN, then make the Trials gear drop from T3, no blues. This would be the best way to bring back the old gear without trials, and bringing peoples interests back into reckoning and gambit prime.
The Reckoning is themed after the nine. Why not have gear given out by them drop at the hardest tier? It makes sense design wise, and leave the old ornaments out so people who did get those can flex they did the old grind as an achievement.
EDIT 2: If not Reckoning, (even though it fits the theme of the nine) add it to ther crucible comp drop table instead of the basic crucible armor sets. This would keep it to its roots as a comp armor and overall weapon/gear set.
These are the best case scenarios.

Ask for it to be an ornament sold by eververse and I'm sure they'll jump right on it.

Edited by Erijian: 1/28/2020 9:38:57 AMI personally don't want to see updated versions of Trials gear handed out in PvE..It's a slap in the face to all PvP players if they made it drop in Reckoning. That's the equivalent of me getting raid gear from playing quickplay.

Reckoning is almost exactly the same now as it was before, except it doesn't have the negative modifiers to make easier to grind. How is it just suddenly boring now?

I cant get a good love and death (I have farmed 12 and only one has had full court and 3 have had spike grenades) but I did get a doomsday from reckoning with spike nades, field prep and full court with a reload speed masterwork and even thought the fire rate it slower it puts out mad damage.

If they're not bringing Trials of the Nine back (and replacing it with a new version of trials) they might as well add the Trials of the Nine gear to Reckoning or another game mode. Any ornaments gained from the original Trials of the Nine remain exclusive to people who got them before and they can be applied to the new gear (or just turn them into universal ornaments so they can put them on anything)

4 RepliesNobody plays Reckoning unless it's to farm Spare Rations, surely? They should make more targeted ways to obtain loot. That way I, and I'm sure a lot of other players, would grind the mode out a bit more and for other weapons if the RNG was less punitive.

Expect Trials armor to come back when Trials returns within the next couple season. I do hope the start of Year 4 results in some consolidation of Gambit/Gambit Prime/Reckoning activities; maybe drop classic Gambit and Reckoning, and rework armor bounties/Synths so they can be completed/wagered in Gambit Prime matches.

1 ReplyI think it would be nice to get the reckoning armor without all the snake shit on it, like have the snake designs be an ornament or have the armor be a little different for each tier. Have tier one be plain then tier 2 have the armor be slightly but noticeably different and so on.

I just want reckoning weapons/armor to drop from specific bounties like the time lost frames bounties.

Tries gear should be crucible related. If not in trials, than in comp I suppose.

1 ReplyAs many have stated, Trials cannot come back until this sandbox gets fixed and anti-cheat is implemented into D2.

They definitely have a plan for trials and that’s why they are keeping the armour and weapons back, WE just don’t know when we are getting it. I do think you should get a guaranteed weapon drop from each boss kill, just keep the weapon pools as they are and then you can farm whichever week you want. I also think the first encounter should have more ads and a boss but the bridge should be moved completely.

2 RepliesIf they’re not gonna let you get the armor anywhere, it would be nice for you guys if they at least made them universal ornaments so you can make any armor piece look like trials armor.

I never had the Trials of the Nine's impulse rifle. Trials is gone since more than a year now, it's not a shame to obtain this weapons in a PVE activity. Reckoning is indeed the perfect game mode to get those old weapons.

2 RepliesIt wouldn’t make one bit of difference which is why it won’t change. All armour is intrinsically the same and all weapons are either meta/ mainstream and most have them or are simply not used.

this actually is not a bad idea man. I just hope they don't recycle them for trials when it comes back out.
