I play nearly nonstop and still have trouble getting ascendant shards. Exotics should not cost 3 shards to masterwork either.
I think 3 prisms for the shard is plenty and would enable the working folk to attain the seemingly unattainable on more than one character.
Thanks.

2 RepliesI just don't Masterwork anything other than my Class items. I hate the Champion system and farming the same Nightfall over and over just bores me to tears. I'd rather farm Banshee bounties and play Gambit than do Master Nightfalls.
-
Yeah I was gonna say, at least exotics shouldn’t cost 3. That’s just stupid. They’re way too scarce for that.
-
5 RepliesPrisms and shards should cost half of what they do. If armor isn’t gonna carry through from season to season, it shouldn’t cost so much to masterwork. For most of us, it just takes too long to save up enough materials. I’m just making the decision to not go beyond 8 energy on most of my armor after I use the season pass prisms and shards.

What would be better is if Bungie could just decide on a system and stick with it. Y3 of d1 was great because they could concentrate on new content instead of redoing the progression systems every year.

2 RepliesEdited by Tahllinavian: 12/18/2019 3:25:04 AMcompletely agree, as it stands the ways to get ascendent shards are far too rare, you literally only get them from 980 master nightfalls, outside of buying them from Banshee for a really bad exchange rate. Should definetly be added to PVP and other high end grinds too.
-
Agreed. Bump
-
Totally agree. They're ridiculously expensive. I would be fine with them being tied to buying it outright or buy it with Ascendant Shards which you should also be earned through things like resetting valor/glory/etc
-
Edited by FrosttheVII: 12/19/2019 4:54:37 PMI agree and am HUGELY disappointed that Exotic pieces take 3 to fully upgrade. I'd be ok if it were even just 5 Enhancement Prisms per 1 Ascendant Shard. 10 is just overkill.
-
Three prisms is a great idea. Even if they locked it under a "special discount" guise that you only do once a week, maybe only available once you completed Banshee's weekly powerful, it'd still be a far cry better than the system now where basically Banshee's option to buy these is a cruel joke to anyone who isn't glued to their seat 24/7 and/or has a dedicated exceptional fireteam available to grind for hours to do 980s.
-
2 RepliesYup agreed. Also... Ascendant shards should drop from various endgame activities eg raids, NF's, Iron banner etc. OPTIONAL matchmaking on all activities. And enhancement chores should drop randomly from yellow bars etc. just like legendary engrams do... 😎👍 The current cost of masterworking armor 2.0 is BULLSHIT...
-
Definitely agree with this. Masterwork economy just isn't in a good place right now

3 RepliesEdited by sjshady0169: 12/18/2019 10:21:49 PMThink of it this way: 100 Enhancement Cores = 1 Ascendant Shard. 2nd point = why is masterworking weapons so much easier than masterworking armor? Masterworking weapons is how masterworking armor should be IMO. Bottom line: There needs to be more ways to grind Ascendant Shards (especially solo) or lower the cost of Ascendant Shards (a lot).

3 RepliesI agree completely. There was no reason the cost of infusion needed to increase for Shadowkeep, and there are several areas of the resource economy which warrant improvements. Ultimately, the underlying purpose of Destiny 2 should be for enjoyment, yet there appears to be a need to reduce overall utility be adding an artificial grind to several aspects of the game.

Edited by Zoidberg: 12/19/2019 12:31:33 PMYep. The economy here is stupid. I just don't bother masterworking anymore.

1 Reply3 would be really nice. This Bungie is more likely to start selling them for silver, unfortunately.
-
1 ReplyJust run 980 nightfalls, it's not difficult
-
2 RepliesJust farm nightfall ordeals bruh
-
27 RepliesThe real problem is that there's no point in masterworking armour because it'll be obsolete next season.

1 ReplyWe will pass this along to the dev team, thank you for your feedback. ~ Cozmo

Agree. Way to expensive

Bright dust on his bounties as well
-
No! -blam!- your couch, Titan!
Kidding aside.. I agree.
-
Run Master nightfalls - very generous drop rate on shards there.

2 RepliesWho even bothers to grab these anyways the armour resets after a season and you can do majority of good builds at level 9 masterwork.
