I’m certainly not afraid of flying, but I always get this weird feeling when we are about to take off. Just like “whelp this could be it”, but it’s all good. I got to hang out in the cockpit last Christmas when the pilot picked us up at our cabin to head back to Vancouver. I have to admit I loved seeing all the controls and watching takeoff and landing while actually seeing forward.

That sounds like a pretty cool experience. How did you manage to line that up?

Just asked. It was a Twin Otter plane so it’s not a huge aircraft. The rest of the plane was empty so the pilot didn’t seem to mind.
