Optional game mode with no matchmaking, don’t like? Don’t use it.
That’s a good idea, then when people realise it’s such a chore to find a team they move on to a different game. Less players the better, am I right???

If you think it is a chore to find a team, it is nothing compared to the chore of matchmaking with a team of random players with no communication/coordination. The only players that would ever use matchmaking are those who are less familiar with the activity, meaning the average skill level would be much lower, additionally, there would be no communication. When you put low skilled players together without communication to do endgame level content, it ends up just being a frustrating endeavor that will most likely not be completed. This creates a level of frustration among the casual community that leads to one of two scenarios: 1. Casual players lose interest in these types of activities. 2. Casual players complain the content is too hard potentially resulting in the difficulty of activities being lowered, which is a bad thing. When casual players see activities with Matchmaking, it is a signal that the content can be completed without much effort or communication, this is true with every single activity currently in the game with matchmaking; the activities can be easily completed (ie not mechanic heavy) with no failure criteria. If a casual player wants to do these activities, LFG is the best option as you will find people invested to get the activity done with communication, both of which are required for successful completion. This is why you never see any posts for Heroic Menagerie with "no mic" in the post.

Don’t agree sorry.

That’s not it. It’s most people will just skip over LFG because matchmaking is “easier”. Then they will rage after failing and tell bungie to nerf hard endgame content because a group of blueberries can’t do it.

Sorry, I’m not convinced.
