Because attunement of flame as one of the strongest supers in the entire game. Top tree Nightstalker arguably has one of the best neutral games in the game. Cloak, enhanced sprint speed, better radar, and playing around with the enemy’s radar. Bottom tree gunslinger also has a great neutral game. They are buffing it’s as well so . . .

OMFG. I'm so sick and tired of hearing this. Dawnblade bottom tree is SHYTE!!
-
A good super isn't a good excuse for having boring gameplay 90% of the time.
-
The neutral game is okay on it. Just not amazing. Literally most of the perks on that node are super based
-
There's a neutral game? LOOOOL
-
The melee does nothing useful, and Phoenix Dive prevents you from sliding after you use it.
-
And it still recovers health, takes you out of line of sight. Melee has a burn
-
The entire PD animation takes too long and you're often not going to get enough air time to regen a decent portion of health; good luck if an enemy spots you while you're stuck in animation. It also has a cooldown with a hidden timer and the damage done during daybreak is pitiful. I've seen goddamn red bars survive a blade to the brain. The melee's burn is a joke. The DoT only breaks Vandal thresh holds and similar, and the explosion only ever kills trash mobs that get too close.
-
Fire damage on a melee is next to useless. It'll still take two melees to kill in PvP, and the burn damage is laughable in PvE. They should give it a more interesting effect than a generic burn DoT.
-
That’s fair but it’s not like it’s dismal. It’s not a significant disadvantage
-
Quit speaking about subclasses you're not very familiar with
-
The hell makes you say that. I’ve played it plenty and it is still very strong. Just because I’ve restarted my warlock doesn’t mean I’ve never played it.
-
There's no good reason not to buff bottom tree's neutral game. It desperately needs it. It will even more after the nerf to Daybreak.
-
You kidding me? The super is still gonna be strong af. The neutral game is fine, it just isn’t great. The super makes up for that.
-
Bottom tree Striker has a super that is just as good, if not better. Bottom tree Striker also has a really good neutral game. Even if the neutral game on Attunement of Flame isn't "bad", it's still dreadfully boring.
-
If you find it boring then switch. Bottom tree Striker is imbalanced and still very very strong post nerf.
-
Look, I just want Attunement of Flame to be interesting. Beyond the super, it's just not that fun to use. Some simple changes could give it a better neutral game.
-
Attunement of Flame is getting nerfed. Top tree tether has zero synergy. Absolutely none. Effective in PvP, kinda? But there's little point of the super in PvP when other classes can do it's job better. Bottom tree goldy needed the buffs. Perk was hardly noticeable and again, little to no synergistic relationship between the perks. Most of the perks were buffs to the super, and even then it's the ONLY super in the game that's limited to 3 kills. That much will stay the same after the buff, and that's sad.

Edited by DA3MON1C: 12/3/2019 5:28:01 PMBottom tree dawnblade is still nuts post nerf. Top tree dawnblade is also getting a buff, and yeah, it does have a lot of synergy, just a high skill cap for aerial game. Not every neutral game is about ability regen. Imo bottom tree Goldie was fine pre nerf, though the buff was welcome. Top tree tether has one of the best neutral games. Cloak, enhanced radar and sprint, -blam!-ing with enemy radar, it is literally one of the top subclass choices for hunters.
-
NO, It's not
-
YES, it is buddy. The super still lasts forever, has massive area damage, yeah, I’d say it’s still pretty nuts, so stop whining.
-
That's not true at all. It's middle of the road in terms of popularity, KDA, and win rate (For reference Goldy is at the top for popularity, but dang near the bottom for KDA and win rate), simply because in higher levels of play, people call out the smoke bombs, the invisibility doesn't really help, and the sprint speed buff can be achieved from other things (Arcstrider and Stompees).
-
The invisibility helps with radar, and they don’t know that it’s smoke if they are the first person spotting it on the radar
-
Yeah, but the smoke bomb has a very obvious sound queue when it's thrown. A good player is going to pick up on that and call it out. He'll also be able to relate it to a sudden ping on his radar if he was close to it. The invisibility lasts only a few seconds and doesn't really help against someone who already sees you. If you flank while invisible, good players are going to destroy you the moment your ping pops up and you're alone. Those are it's limits.
-
That’s why you don’t flank multiple enemies. Additionally, the sound queue isn’t always so obvious when you’re in the middle of a gunfight.
-
Oh the sound queue is blatantly obvious. It's the only thing that sounds like it. And at higher levels of play, people hold hands. You aren't going to take the time to flank one guy. You're better off engaging with your team. The invisibility just isn't worth it. You're better off with the Jesters, as they actually disorient enemies and mess with their actual vision. Much more effective.
