Error Reading game content
I have had an issue where the game crashes and gives me a pop-up that says there is an "error reading game content". I verify the files on steam and I will get that error happening again randomly while trying to play. This error also was occurring when destiny 2 was on Battle.net HELP ME!

I've been having the same issues as well and the steam_appid.txt. file doesn't exist for me. It crashes whenever going to orbit or switching activities. It's been happening for to long and I just want a response as to what is going on.

I've spent days looking through forums and trying fixes, including: - tracking down the steam_appid file and deleting it - uninstalling and reinstalling the steam client - uninstalling and reinstalling destiny - deleting some files out of the destiny folder and running the process to check and repair the integrity of the files - tried running the game as administrator, and without it - switched my antivirus provider and whitelisted destiny I have tried pretty much every single fix I have come across in any forum, and apparently other people have been having this problem for years. Bungie's only reply to anything I have seen was to delete the steam_appid.txt file, which has not worked. I have no idea how to fix this, so if anyone has any ideas please help.
