Whisper of the worm Ace of Spades Sleeper Simulant QueenBreakers Bow Graviton Lance Lord of Wolves Prometheus Lens Breakneck Lunas Howl Not Forgotten How many other weapons need to be nerfed out of usefulness and existence before you people are happy? While some ive listed were agreed to be game breaking (Prometheus Lens was still alot of fun and should have been its own game mode lol), most of these weapons are rarely used anymore because people either complained about them because A.) They didnt have them, didnt try to earn them, or didnt want to do the grind... or B.) wanted some other weapon they coveted to be more useable so slash all the other weapons as long as their favorite gun was viable again. Selfish children. Every one of you. Breakneck was a weird one. I will agree that that one did not fit any necessity to nerf. It was strong and most people only used it for PvE but it was not the strongest weapon in the Kinetic slot... Nobody and I mean nobody complained about it. I doubt anyone will ever use sleeper Simulant or Whisper or Queen breakers bow again. They should just remove them from the game at this point. Ace of Spades was fun when you could reload to continue your overpowered shots but it was not an over abused gun. I dont believe people complained about it and I dont see what Bungie saw that would make it game breaking. Sleeper and Queenbreaker were nerfed because of complaints on gambit - a game mode that player complain about 24/7 to begin with. But guess what? DeathBringer, truth, and Leviathans Breath will one shot you across the -blam!-ing map just as easily. Hell, even Mountaintop can one shot you across the map. There are plently of weapons that will one shot you as they should. Now we have weapons taking up vault space that are no longer viable in any -blam!-ing game mode. Remember when Graviton Lance was the meta in the first season? They nerfed it to useless and then slightly redeemed themselves by changing how it deals damage so that it was as effective as any other pulse rifle which still makes it useless. The recluse is not OP. It doesnt hurt anyones feelings. Leave it alone. I can guarantee, The recluse does not beat a Randys throwing knife in a mid to long range combat situation. "Well duh..." exactly, use your weapons for the situation in PVP. you want to beat a recluse player? -blam!-ing shotgun, fusion rifle, super, or keep your distance.... its not difficult. Any smg should beat any other rifle type weapon at close range. You complain that its too easy to kill adds in PvE, Are you guys drinking milk from a baby bottle? Who is being hurt by that? Why should that even bother you? Change your weapon to something else if its "too easy to get kills" For crying out loud. There should be weapons that clear adds super quick. An SMG in close combat should be capable of doing that. You want the gun to be more difficult? Try killing adds at mid to long range where you have to kinda burst fire it. You complainers ruin the game and the experience for everyone else. again, Breakneck should not have been nerfed... that was a bad call on bungies part. Edit: I realized I didnt add nerfed armor or abilities to this. Remember Lunafaction boots? lol, never to be used again.

  • I am totally with you here. I don't understand why people cry if a gun is too good on pve. And PvP affecting PvE shouldn't be a thing in the first place.

  • Keeping your distance in a game mode where the maps are too small for the number of players being crammed into them is, indeed, much harder than you make it sound. Recluse is broken as shit not because it's powerful, but because all of its potential counters were nerfed into oblivion.

  • I can guarantee you Luna’s and NF are still top tier and in no way shape or form nerfed into the ground! The slower fire rate on those weapons now actually makes the player using it focus more on the shots as opposed to firing at will, Making them more deadly!

    I agree with most of your post. But fwiw, Lens is still nasty in pve. I just leveled up my catalyst last week and had a blast shredding through Vex on Moon during invasion. Whisper is still highly used in the new Raid, it just doesnt have unlimited ammo like before. Sleeper is still beast especially with catalyst but it is worthless in gambit due to only picking up 2 shots. Ace still wrecks in pve, especially with catalyst. What is trash now in pve: Lunas. They destroyed it. Such trash. RIP. Redrix. RIP Breakneck. Ugh. Why? RIP As for the others you mentioned, I havent used some of those in a while but I hear Graviton shreds in Altar of Sorrows.

  • Although I agree the quest line was very tedious! Hat thing wrecks in crucible still!it all comes down to a skilled player hitting those headshots, if they do, it’s very hard to beat. I use it almost always in the crucible and it’s great still! PVE it’s useless though!

  • I did not know that. I only play on console. What was the issue on PC? Was DPS higher due to frames per second or something?

    Due to the range it could get kills, I think usage as a primary on PC was up over 60% concurrently over weeks. That’s really high for just one weapon. I’m not a PC player either, but I totally remember complaining that the PC sandbox should be handled differently, due to the vast differences in the way weapons perform. Sadly they nerf the same things on console, where sometimes they are not an issue at all.

  • okay maybe but do not break the gun to kill its unique perks which is more than likely what will happen when they nerf it. Buh-bye Master of Arms. That perk alone is what gets a whole team killed by a Recluse. Ive done that, and Ive seen it. If only the other team didnt rush to thirst a kill when their team mate dies only to find a recluse player in a healing rift.
