Hello, so I haven't been able to play Destiny 2 for a while due to workload, and was urged by my friends to try the New Light and Armor 2.0. Since my workload has become lighter I thought I would give it a go.
So I downloaded Destiny 2 on steam and went through the whole process of linking my Bungie account to my steam account and transferred everything to my steam account.
When I went to log into the game through Steam it gave me the dreaded NOT SO FAST message telling me that my account has been banned. Last I played was almost a year ago, I did not do anything with my account since then and was still playing fine back then.
So why am I banned? I bought Forsaken and the annual passes, and I haven't really even played them fully. I really want to play the new and old content, but now I cant even unlink my Steam account to start fresh. What do I do now? I really want to play.

Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/1179836392953675776 <- Most recent info bans and restrictions policy page *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
