Don’t waste time doing Eriana’s Vow’s catalyst
Losing 1 ammo when completing the catalyst is utter BS.
9 in magazine but 1 less in reserves when it should have more in total.
Useless catalyst. Absolutely a joke. Don’t waste your time.

8 Repliesi ADORE this weapon. Seriously, i could not care less that i lost 1 bullet of 30 in exchange for auto loading holster and 9 in the mag. No longer need hand cannon loader on my gloves, can kill mobs like hydras/hobgoblins very fast and through shields. This gun feels so sweet to use, looks great, sounds great, really benefits from being able to keep landing precision shots. If you miss a precision shot just put it away and let it reload, or dodge reload as hunter and go again. Keeping uptime on 'death at first glance' is great. A gun in destiny hasn't grabbed me like this for a while, i cannot put it down.

Doesn’t it have auto loading holster too? Also as someone else mentioned HC reserves

Catalyst adds auto loading holster to avoid having to deal with the awful reload speed

Awesome 9 in the mag ! This gun is solid with distance and impact , comes in useful . It’s like a sniper . Extra bullets will be a help.

9 RepliesYou do realize that we are still talking about 2 more net gain in reserves? If the catalyst effectively gives a +3 to your magazine, but 1 less in reserves, that is still a gain of 2 in overall reserves as your filled up magazine is part of your total reserves.

I like the catalyst and its perk is instant, as soon as you ADS.

Fun gun. Works well in both PvE and PvP. More uptime on first glance is good. I’m gonna go for that...

Perhaps, but I suggest equipping it and play Mayhem, to help grind the catalyst. Even if it's just to complete it.

It’s purely for completion-ist sake, it’s not “bad” just silly long compared to what it does.
