I have yet to see a single good looking warlock
Idk what happened with this DLC, but warlocks got hit with the ugly stick.
I’ve seen hunters that have made me double take. I’ve seen titans that have made me gasp.
I’ve seen warlocks that have made me want to vomit.
I have no clue what happened, but the armor and even past ornaments for warlocks just look horrendous with the main offender being the robes. The only good looking piece of armor to come out of this DLC for warlocks is the Phoenix Protocol ornament.
In short, you’ve got hunters and titans running around looking like exotic space super cars while warlocks are running around looking like space potatoes...what the hell happened here?

4 RepliesOnly decent Warlock sets (Mind you I'm only talking about full sets) are the Reckoning sets and the Dawning's Frostreach armor. But that's kinda been all of Destiny 2. The game designers seem to have a hate-on for Warlocks. We got a decent roaming super for PVP and it got nerfed in to the ground, all our armors are poorly done and the only thing BUNGiE seems to keep us around for anymore is because it wouldn't make any sense to give the other two classes Well of Radiance.

I somehow made my warlock look decent, but yeah. Most warlock armor looks like oven-roasted ass.

8 RepliesI feel like a lot of the Warlock armor is just trying too hard. We can't just have a plain helmet or robes that are a good foundation for shaders, we have to have some kind of mess on them, they have to be torn in some way. We can't have a simple monk-like robe (Imagine the revolt Hunters would throw if anybody other than them got to have a hood!). We can't have simple armor plate on top of a robe (there's maybe two sets in the entire game that are just "robes with armor on top" and one of them seems too flimsy, and the other one has weird shader formatting on the armor part) the closest thing to a straight robe is the prodigal robe, and even it's in tatters around the edges. If it's not too thin, it's trying too hard to be cool. There is appeal in simplicity, and that's really hard to find in Warlock armor. I know that that sounds like a good finishing point, but I want to specifically mention the Tangled Web helmet. the base model of that helmet, without the spikes and w/e else on it, is one of my favorites in D1. It's a simple hood that looks fairly well armored and accomplishes the task of being a Warlock mask in lore, narrowing the focus of the wearer with the blinders on it. But the only version we have in D2 is that "Trying too hard" tangled web hood, and I just don't want to wear it.

My Warlock looks pretty good in my opinion! Will agree I don't like most of the stuff and that Dreambane helmet is the fugliest helmet ever! Titan's get a cool astronaut helmet and we get some reject from a masquerade ball!

I don't know I kinda liked the old year 1 crucible armor and the armor they brought to d2 from d1 but I agree we need better robes and not helmets that look like we strapped card board to out chest and forehead

Titans have the best looking armor, bot sure what's going on with Hunter or Warlock. The Phenotype Plasticity set looks pretty amazing minus the Hunter gauntlets and the Titan boots. I dont have the helmet unlocked yet so a little mix and match had to be done for good aesthetics

Might I recommend: Optimacy Helmet - New Age Black Armory Vernal Growth Gauntlets - New Age Black Armory Mihalovia Chest - New Monarchy Regalia Liminal Voyager Boots - Suros Modular Frostreach Bond - Warbrick I may have mixed up a couple shaders. I’ll have to get back on. It’s also all ornaments, so you can do this with any set granted you got the ornaments from S1/S7, Revelry Y2, S3, FotL Y2, and Dawning Y2 respectively.

Watermelon on certain robes can make your warlock look good. Especially when combined with other green and orange armour.

I used a mix of the ornaments and Gambit Stock with Night's chill for the shaders. I like the chrome and ice blue look.
