I bought this game on release through the Battle.net client, paid full price for both the game and the season pass, only to find out that the game was awful on release. This was conveniently fixed by an expansion pack that just as conveniently wasn't included in the season pass.
They neglected to mention anywhere on their store page prior to game release that the season pass was actually an annual pass and didn't include all the DLC and I would be required to spend an additional 40 dollars to enjoy the game I paid $100+ for. Now I find out that with the move to steam that all the content I paid full price for has now been made free to play with no compensation sent my way for TRUSTING that Bungie had learned from their mistakes in the previous Destiny game. 0/10
I just wanted to vent in a place i hoped someone from bungie might see it, and I hope I'm not the only person shitted off at them for this.
edit: i'd just like to clarify i'm not mad the game is free, i'm mad that I pretty much got the sharp end of the stick for supporting a game in it's infancy I thought would be good and I ended up with nothing to show for it. even actiblizzard gave people the first expansion of starcraft 2 for free when the base game was made free as a show of thanks, but clearly bungie doesn't give half a -blam!- about it's consumers.

I know exactly how you feel, I pre ordered the limited edition for over $100, turned out it was really bad including the dlcs stoped playing to find that they finally fixed the game except i need to pay $40 for it.

Just think about what Bethesda is doing to it's fallout 76 players.

Why would you post this on bungie.net, what did you expect?

Please stop

So you bought the game when it came out... two years ago, but found out you didn't like it... so you stopped playing... now that it's free now, you want compensation? For what? Am I missing something?

Umm anthem !

You're in for a rough life. Wait till you own a home, car and other major investments. Good luck though.

It could be worse. You could’ve been one of the people who bought Evolve on release.

I bought Destiny 2 and the season pass back in 2017 as well. I've been on and off playing it and really enjoy it when I do play it. I found out that Destiny 2 is now free and the two new DLCs equal $60. I would like Bungie to compensate people like us who threw $60 at a now-free game. I'm a decent bit annoyed about it. I've really liked Bungie's games and am pretty loyal to them, but them pulling a stunt like that annoys me. At least compensate us for it.

And to make matters worse, Bungie wants you to pay full price for each system you want to play your account on. It's completely -blam!-ed up. They aren't charging $40.00 for the content. They are charging $40.00 for a doorway to your friends, and giving off the impression that it is "free" now. Bullshit. All my friends are play new content, that we ALL have payed for, but since I haven't payed to open the doorway to my friends on PS4, I am locked out of that content. -blam!-ing bullshit. I thought they changed when they chose to leave that asshat of a company (Activision), but it seems they still want to price gouge us. Dear Bungie, Look at games like WoW, Fortnite, -blam!-ing Halo and Call of Duty! If you are going to claim "cross-save" support, the purchase NEEDS to be tied to the account. Not a -blam!-ing shitting ass doorway. I mean for -blam!- sake, this would pull in MORE money for you guys! This would mean no-one can re-sell the game. That all the purchases go through you. That everyone that plays HAS to pay! That is how games should be! I want your team to get my money. But I don't want that money to be done thrice over just because my friends are in hard to reach places. That's a real shitty thing to do.

Id rather pay bungie then activision/bungie.
