Banned for internet connection I can’t control

Recently I was banned for my internet connection. I feel that’s it’s unjust because there isn’t much I can do about it. I unfortunately I do not have access to my router or router settings. I also feel like a ban is supposed to be used to teach someone a lesson to quit doing something wrong. Unfortunately after I get unbanned, I’m just gonna have the same connection I had that resulted in the ban. Is there anyway I can fix this so I don’t keep getting banned for something I can’t do anything about?

  • They sent you recommendations on how to fix it. Also consider: 1. Connecting directly to your router with Ethernet or Ethernet-over-powerline connections. Many old/cheap routers use wi-fi that is weak and laggy. 2. Get a router designed for online gaming. They have stronger, newer wi-fi protocols that less lag and less interference. They also prioritize gaming traffic if there are multiple-users. 3. Get an app that measures you network speeds. Ping time. Upload and download speed. Packet loss. Bad routing or throttling by your ISP can cause bad ping times. Bad cable in your home or to and from it can cause loss of data (packet loss) and poor connections. Thick of the system as a pipe carrying water. Ping time==the length of pipe. Up/down speeds== flow rate of the water. Packet loss == how much water is leaking from the pipes. If you’re experiencing packet loss you may need your isp to come find the bad cable and replace it.
