I’m going to do the unthinkable once Shadowkeep launches
I’m going to play Shadowkeep [i]and[/i] Borderlands 3.

And if you have a job, or really any kind of regular life you will be missing out on things from one or both games. Or you just won't end up playing borderlands very much at all given the grind that is coming, especially since content will be added and removed.
