Account Ban

So i just tried to log in to my account for a raid and i've just been told i've been banned, not just an activity ban of any kind but an account ban! I've never been restricted from any activities or had any other kind of ban previously and this has come completely out of the blue? i am also presuming there is no way to overturn this or find out why they did this..... is anyone able to shed some light on why this may have happened?

A ban was issued for your account on June 2nd for running multiple programs created by known cheat/hack communities specifically for the purpose of cheating in Destiny. The enforcement of this ban was delayed, however the ban itself is valid. Your ban has been reviewed and upheld.

I've been searching the forums to see if I'm alone in this and now I'm seeing more and more people dealing with this too. I logged on last night to an account ban. I have nothing illicit on my rig either. I hope this can get fixed because after 2k hours I really don't want to redo all this. Especially not my crucible pinnacles. Tuxydoh is a good guy he tried helping on my post too.

      • Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47715 *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
