Why not tie in Y1 Trials gear into the Invitations of the Nine?
I just think that would be a cool way to get gear that's currently locked away. And it couldn't hurt to add some diversity to the loot pool since Gambit is really the only thing that got new gear this season (other than IB, I'm assuming)

I agree I think bungie should add trials of the nine gear and weapons, every time you complete an invitation of the nine from xûr you get one random armor piece and one random weapon...actually i wouldn’t mind having random rolls added to the gear/weapons awarded and as far as “ornaments” for armor maybe they could tie into pve/pvp objectives involving gambit/gambit prime, heroic strikes, crucible, free roam.
