Enahancement core changes show bungie doesn't care about our feedback.
They say infusion should feel impactful. Why? I've never felt this, I've always just been annoyed. These changes are pointless. I'm still not going to do these bounties, why should we have to grind for something only to have to grind for something to use that item?????? Terrible changes bungie. JUST GET RID OF THEM!!!!!

"It's a great idea sir we just need to tweak it with some bounties and the community will love it. May I go potty now please sir?" It is ignorant and we hate it and it is negatively impacting our experience and a new bounty won't f'ing change it.

The whole system is empty and unrewarding. Who feels like they've really achieved anything grinding up another 50 LL to only have it matter on one activity and then having to go grind infusion fodder and cores to bring the gear up to the new LL? Getting Thorn for the third time felt more rewarding than hitting 700 for me, that just felt like the kind of busy work a teacher would give students so they can just sit there quietly and nurse a hangover. There's nothing impactful about any of it. MW weapons is, that actually means something. But moving up the LL every three months is already old.

Because I figure I'll need the cores to masterwork things I'll ultimately use and then infuse them if I ever hit max light. That seems less and less likely with the jump to max light levels each season; so I may never infuse, or even masterwork, anything. The thing is, as I understand infusion, even if it cost no resources (glimmer, shards, cores, and whatever else), it still removes the item you're infusing it to (i.e. the one you are taking the light level from). This could otherwise have been salvaged for shards, weapon parts, and maybe even more cores. The cost of infusion is insane. So I'm not sure how something I'm not doing (due to the cost) is supposed to "feel impactful."

Community .. Enhancement cores are ruining infusion, please remove. Bungie .. We hear ya, have another Bounty to get more cores. I don't remember the Community being up in arms about not having a material that they required multiple of before infusing weapons and armour. That came from their beloved streamers and content creators who wanted a grind to keep their numbers up. Remember when endgame was dead and they were all hissy about no one watching them ??, suits them as they play the game for a living and have plenty of time to grind for cores. If I cant just infuse armour at a meaningful cost my Guardian looks like a comsic hobo and my will to play diminishes as I feel my time is being wasted. This though is ignored by Bungie, they know better and it doesn't matter what we think. We can post all we like. Wont make a difference. They are not listening to us. Cant wait for the next Streamers Summit. Next we'll need a Strike Core to play a strike. A Gambit core to play Gambit, you know to make it "meaningful". I am pretty much done I reckon. I cant face the Forsaken story on my alts knowing the grind that awaits on the other side. -

I say less because, they're removing scrapper bounties. Daily and weekly bounties are just that, daily and weekly. Theres a timegated fixed amount. I -hate- this kind of trend in videogames as of late, i cannot stand it. That being said, scrapper bounties were unlimited as long as we kept playing. (unless there was some hidden timegated cap on how many of those you could get, which knowing how dishonest bungie is, wouldn't surprise us.) So now that they're being REMOVED we are receiving one less option for cores. Who the !@#$ does bungie think they are? This is honestly just insults aside, literally the textbook definition of stupid. The forum is about 3% of the community, and that's a stretch. So if every person on this community, complains, you are in the vast minority. They are listening they just aren't over reacting to a minority.

Speaking with our time now appears to be our only option. Bungie you keeps crushing the Dream instead of keeping it alive. If this is to change we need to speak with our time played. One more time we have only okay content at best. I like Gambit but gambit is not the type of mainstream content, or Black Armory for that matter which I spent money on the last couple years for multiple licenses. My expectations to this point have been WAY to high I guess? Please humor me but as an example, If the evolution of the original Mass Effect trilogy upon its conclusion (the milestone or bar it set....not ending) was like America going to the moon, then Bungie with Destiny had the potential to evolve similarly to leaving our solar system. Instead to this point, Bungie, ‘we’ (our characters) figuratively, have only rarely left Earths orbit but return shortly after again and again to just do it all repeatedly over again ‘IF’ each season, you pay for the privilege of accessing the latest seasonal drop. Bungie \ (Activision-Blizzard previously) when the rubber hits the road appears satisfied with circling the earth or sending out a probe or three into the blackness and not really even trying to go back to the moon much less make it past mars or the Kuiper belt or beyond to make Destiny the EPIC evolution we thought we would get over 10 years. Unfortunately, what we got mostly since Destiny now with D2 is a hodgepodge group of sequels well short of any evolution of one game world. Bungie now has my money since I bought into the annual pass early and really did not know what gambit was going to be before the purchases getting them when I did , so shame on me. My family, 3 of us who played on separate accounts close to everyday since D1 for years would ‘NEVER’ have asked for MoRe of the PVP \ PVE hybrid or more escalation protocol esc.... content like Forge \ Blindwell! Now Destiny has turned into a world of grind until you either wear your controller or console out or just turn it off out of frustration with horrible matchmaking, rng content drops, timed bounties and repetitive gated activities. With Activision gone Bungie now has the driver seat and ‘WAS’ probably limited previously by contract or content already somewhat in the pipeline so we are stuck with a season of no real depth once more today. Just remember ‘If’ you do feel that Bungie has not been listening the last couple years overall like I do ( how long ‘minimum’ these new seasons can be conceptualized, brought online and tested) then speak with your time now and don’t buy into ‘ANY’ future pre-release content until we see some changes that are what we have been asking to see for many years. What ‘WE’ have been asking for, for many years is, more story, more access to everything removed over most seasons or not made fully useable, relevant or compatible as Destiny has evolved and what ‘most on the forum repetitively have requested who aren’t internet streamers. We want new depth which has been mostly missing within D2 and for me, most of all....no more damn sequels having to re-earn content once more previously owned in the past seasons. Bungie make Destiny great. Give Destiny the Golden age, open world, all inclusive evolution and content imagined years ago when you pitched Destiny to us over 10 years.

That’s why I have no more feedback until they fix cores. I just don’t care what they do until they’re removed from infusion. And even then they still have permanently lost any trust I have in this company.

I’m starting to think that Bungo thinks they can save the “removing Core from infusion” card for this September. They very well may not find out that holding that card won’t mean anything when enough frustrated players opt out of Destiny 2: Year 3 and so on.

bungie we are burnt out on grind grind grind and more grind and we want to update our stuff as we want like bungie says OK we will add more grind to get you a tiny bit more to update your armor so you can update some with massive grinding just to grind for things you do not like :) my 3 characters are all 700 so yeah I love the game but enough is enough played COD remastered and all its old age idiocy problems and had more fun that should tell ya somethin bungie !!!!! not a fan of 3rd person view of division but think I am going to pick that up ? to all those who will hate this ? I am saying this in hopes when bung reads this they see more and more people leaving or spending way less time on it and I play one game all the time so just looking for that next game I love I reckon IB is going to be a sweaty hot mess the way they are pushing that where it used to be much more fun ? I am curious to see how these play out. I don't agree with the decision up front as I am in the camp of cores don't add value to the process, but I am still interested to see how they are going to set these up. If they add bounties that can easily be done along side other activities, it's somewhat of a step in better direction. If the bounties have you going to do obscure things though, they aren't any different or better than scraper bounties. I am surprised they are digging their heels in this hard about cores though. I think the size of Bungie's ego is on full display right now.

3 RepliesA huge problem is bungie isnt smart enough to understand that infusion [b]ISNT[/b] an upgrade.[b][u] you don't become more powerful or have better equipment on your character[/u][/b]. it's just to satisfy a number to stay on par to do Normal damage to enemies instead of reduced to [u]ZERO[/u] damage to gate you out of activities until you farm cores or [b]throw away all your gear.[/b] They have this confused with upgrade materials in other videogames that actually do upgrade your gear. IE: putting gems or jewels in your gear in Diablo II, using parts in division to make your gear have more affixes, etc. Using cores for infusion would actually be alright imho if it added more perks to your gun or made the existing perks better. IE: infusing into a gun that has rampage, makes rampage last longer and stack one more time. Or infusing into a gun that has lightweight, makes you even faster, and another infusion on top of that also now gives you better handling. Like honestly, i'm just a guy who got ideas from playing videogames, which makes me question if thats why they can't do the same.
