Running in comp I disagree with as it DOES have an affect and is meant to be COMPetitive... However in other pvp matches it just like i decide to look for a match and end up playing against my friend... there are odds it WILL happen naturally so what then... If me and my buddy have a gentlemans agreement that is between us... now if that applies to the rest of the team in a party so what - who else we harming... if ALL agree... we got matched fairly and we moved and we shot our weapons... no cheating there... maybe we just all bad players and like running into bullets... how can this ever be stopped - I dont think it can... you may end up with blueberries who dont play ball and kill everyone etc. but, if you all agree and its NOT in COMP then so what... I still had to do my requirements for whatever it is doing - catalyst or weapons - did I play pvp - yes... did I move... yes... Did I shoot... yes... Did I get the 500 kills... yes... did I do the precision shots... yes..... did I get the 3 at a time medals or whatever the other requirements are... Yes... and it still took time... maybe not as long as some take in matches where everyone has NOT agreed and all out to kill each others kills... but, that is ONLY difference... I think its called Intelligence and a strategy... same like Escalation protocol when they got 9 players in a session... if you cant think of this and struggle through taking time to get kills ... or perhaps opposite you best player and get it done in 1 or 2 matches - great for you... we have still done the requirements... I dont consider this to be the same as actual cheaters who spoil COMP or claim world records and then miss out whole encounters and duplicate orbs to kill a boss in 3 mins... or perhaps at that point lets imagine the jump through a glitch and everything despawns and the boss insta dies too - complete in 1 second... lol... that is different since that is an encounter designed to be played a certain way and missing it all out is not the same... raid starts... jumps down a magic hole appears at raid boss missing out all encounters of the raid and does magic dance and duplicates all that needs and boss falls dead... erm.. no... not the same in my eyes... the raid has specific way and actual encounters that were not put there to be missed out... done legit... go through each encounter and get an orb and kill mini boss then get next orb and kill next mini boss not blatantly duplicate and miss out all encounters and claim a world record... thats cheating ... I expect speed runs to still be the FULL legit encounter just fast by a well organised team or person but, still doing the requirements... like we do in matchmaking - we STILL do requirements - we dont just do magic and get the weapon handed to us...

This has gone on since D1. It's not that hard... It takes a lot longer to get games going, but it's not actually cheating. They won't get banned because it's NOT cheating. Most players don't even know you can do this. My advice... Go get 7 players before Bungie patches it.

This is called “boosting”. Bungie wont be able to detect these guys unless players report the boosters but since these boosters “own” the whole lobby, we cant report them in game. All you can do is report them directly to bungie if you have concrete evidence (lfg posts for boosting) that they are doing boosting lobbies. EVERY game has boosting and is not allowed in any game but its harder to detect if the entire lobby is in on it.

This makes a lot of sense. I’m a pretty good player and I play fair. I don’t cheese with hunter all day or shotgun slide and yet I can do nothing to the players in comp. it’s a total wash. I would like to know more about this if you got the time to talk about it.

I've been suspecting something going on with people having 40-50 glory win streak legend emblems. Sure they might be legit that good but I've seen quite a few of those around and to me it seems a bit fishy.

If they do do anything about it they should let them keep the guns but, when used they get locked to the floor and when fired the gun does no DPS. Oh and change the gun sound to pewpew.

Purposely matchmaking teams has been around since D1. 2 hosts searching at the same time in the same region means they’ll match more often than not.

And I haven’t seen a single ban from it yet. I reported a bunch of people exploiting comp for DDOS because I didn’t know about the exploit and just saw a 40 streak of 0 kill wins but they still haven’t been banned

I know how to do this, and it’s absolutely bullshit. I don’t see how bungie hasn’t fixed this yet, you can find out how to do it on the first page of google.
