The last word quest. Did I miss something? (Spoilers)
Once the last word has been acquired by defeating the hive enemy in a showdown, the drifter says something along the lines of: "don't trust the guy who gave you that gun" (as he is the guy that killed his friend)..... but, nobody gave me the gun. A hive enemy dropped the thing after trying to kill me.
I'm assuming he is referring to Shin Malphur... but it wasn't Shin, it was a hive enemy that had the gun.
Did I miss something or is this merely another area of the game where bungie decided to leave out the actual story and lore aspect of the quest?

1 ReplyThe actual acquiring of Last Word is meant to be when it appears for you for the draw. The lore books took about how it can appear for anyone of the light in time of need. But of course none of this is explained I game.

He probably was also hunting the weapon master, and when he felt our powerful light (which he had never been exposed to before) he probably felt it was best to give us his gun.

All the Lore is in the books and the quest are basically empty of lore
