• Wasn't insinuating they shouldn't be good, just something that shouldn't be similar to luna's howl or not forgotten; In contrast to your other remarks, If a gun is like Bygones or Trust, It is, while over-used in some regards (Destiny Tracker, as of this moment, has them at a combined 14.7% in the overall meta) isn't inherently guaranteeing a win; an example is, if I face off against EggsAmple, who uses a Trust, while I am using a West of Sunfall 7, and the Trust has no perks to give them a Defined advantage (just imagine it has Genesis and Hip-fire grip as its main perks), we will trade; our rpm is the same and everything. Now let's say I am using My Luna's Howl, while EggsAmple is using A Trust again, this time with actual perks; Even if we are the exact match in skill, in an exact range where no drop-off is present, and with no flaw's in our aim, I will always win, hands down; What i'm Implying here is that what I want is not a gun that is bad, but a gun that has its niche and is still able to compete with the standard OverUsed Weapons, without having a flat-out advantage.

 • I'm having a tough time understanding exactly what you want. You want a gun that is still good, but isn't flat-out better than weapons that drop based on RNG? A gun that has its niche but is still able to compete. There's two problems with this: 1. I have no idea what exactly you want. Your description of this weapon is broad and over-generalized and if i can't figure out what you want, i'm sure Bungie can't either. 2. Why would anyone grind competitive for a gun that can only compete (and have no clear advantage) with a RNG weapon that you can get from gambit? Luna's and NF are pinnacle weapons. Trust is not. Why should a pinnacle weapon not beat a RNG weapon 100% of the time in a controlled environment?

 • Ok, let me put it this way; Have the pinnacle weapon be something unique and different while also providing a different play-style, like The Mountaintop; comparing Mountaintop to other special grenade launchers, which have Ricochet and are mostly used as short-ranged weapons to get people around the corner, Mountaintop is, what i can only refer to, as an "Explosive Sniper"; sure, i cant ricochet off of hard surfaces to get kills without going into an engagement, but i can fire off a shot across the map to where i think someone will be or is going to be, getting me a quick kill. an example of a new pinnacle weapon would be a bow that does minuscule damage while also having very low ammo, but can latch onto walls, floors, and ceilings to get something akin to a sonar that shows enemy positions once every few seconds.

 • Actually good, but only available to an elite few, doesnt make them fun to pursue or earn.

 • Anyone can obtain LH if they just put in a little effort.

 • Definitly untrue, seeing as theres a point loss system. God forbid you have connection issues, come across a cheating team, or get matched with the sweatiest humans alive. You will lose actual time that you've put into the game.

 • Based on this list, i'm surprised anyone can get the weapons...
get matched with the sweatiest humans alive.
Right, these "sweaties" are the people i'm talking about. Instead of coming to the forums and complaining and looking for handouts, they're in the game trying to get better so they can get those weapons.

 • The problem is those “sweaties” already have LH or NF and got put back into guardian, the same rank as the people who didn’t get it. I put a lot of hard work into getting Luna and now when I play at brave 2 against players trying to get it, I feel like shit because I understand their frustration. Yes it should be for the elite, but the elite shouldn’t be facing those just starting.

 • I can agree with this. Competitive matchmaking in its current form is definitely flawed. Need to have placement matches or something of that manner.
