Time-Gating and Part-Timing our End-Game

Ive been playing Destiny 2 since launch, and honestly ive been pretty happy, ive been entertained with many reasons to come back and keep playing (player retention). I only have one issue.. what is there to do after 650? I understand there are daily milestones, missions, nightfalls, raids etc. But what about the actual endgame content? By that i mean Scourge of The Past, Last Wish, and Shattered Throne.. in my personal opinion, ive seen a tremendous effort from bungie to retain its players, but is it with best intentions? For example. You have the "Full curse" where you have shattered throne available.. now the only way to finish our last endgame activity (Izanagi's Burden) we had to complete it (shattered throne) for the quest step. If you weren't able to, you had to wait until full curse week to come back around in order to complete the exotic quest. Now my concern is, is this a method to forcefully make players return to get Izanagi's burden? I understand you need to keep your audience returning with something to look forward to, but by time-gating one of the VERY few challenging activities.. It's a bit "petty". We've also seen the same thing with Whisper of the Worm, but the list doesn't end there! Is time-gating endgame material the only way to keep us coming back Bungie? Another popular opinion i have in common with a rather large percentage of the playerbase is the raids and the reward system integrated with each one. If you're trying to level up, you can gather your fireteam and venture into any of the beautiful raids we have to acquire gear.. but only once? I understand limiting "powerful" gear to each alternative character's first completion, but why cut off rewards completely? If your unaware, you do not receive ANY rewards or gear for a completion after your first. Why not just do like our current weapon frame system and have a powerful first drop, but lower power reward drops for subsequent completions. If your taking the time and effort to complete a 1 or 2 hour raid(s) why should we be completely cut off from any rewards? How is this an incentive for anyone to get friends together and delve into Bungie's beautiful raids? But in conclusion, as a gamer who's dedicated over 1600 hours into Destiny 2 alone, i feel that time-gating our endgame content is a bit drastic to retain us, and restricting us from receiving loot (what were ALL here for) isnt a smart play guys. Hopefully we can have full access to Shattered throne and maybe one day we will get some loot for dedicating our time for numerous raid completions. Thanks Guardians!
