There are quite a few people getting frustrated over RNG - a suggestion

Add a mulligan rule for the lagging 20% of people who don't get an RNG item that just gives them the item automatically. This factor is roughly 1.58 times the flat odds, it changes a bit as the odds become slimmer but for what tables you guys are working on it would be fine. For 1 in 10 odds, it's automatic at 16 tries. 1 in 50, it's 79. Being in the last few % of not having an item gets to be very disheartening and by the time the first 80% have the item, giving it to the last 20% isn't exactly game breaking. I think that keeps the spirit of RNG surprise and replayability going, but also keeps player's morale from just flat out tanking. We all know there's an expectation to put in so much time to "earn" something, but it can go beyond that to just not at all fun. I did everything that other guy did but he got lucky and I didn't is OK for a time, but it really gets old and eventually just feels unfair. Maybe some other fix, but something to take the tail end of the have-nots off would go a long way to make players happier about the game. We all end up with that one item we just can't seem to get eventually.

RNG is necessary to a point, that is unavoidable. but this game has relied too much on RNG but as many stated, it's lack of options forces bungie too put so much emphasis on RNG because they failed to deliver a good amount of diversity. granted everyone usually goes for the same exact roll on something that gets deemed best over all, but by now the only real solution to easing the pain of RNG would be to give a forging system of some sort. i think having to obtain gear and perks first and having a list function to show what perks have been obtained for certain pieces is a great start to a forging/curating system. then once we obtained the perks we want we could create a blueprint or something and take it to a vendor then either wait a certain amount of time to collect the curated weapon/armor, or a high price to collect it is what this game needs at this point, that way players can discover their preferred playstyle and even play around with all the builds they want. this franchise desperately needs a system like this so they can feel rewarded for the time they put into the game, instead of being slapped in the face repeatedly by RNG AND bungie, since bungie has so clearly shown the amount of disrespect they have for their fans. TL;DR: this game needs to have a curation system available to players instead of relying solely on RNG, especially RNG that doesn't respect play time.
