Enough Timegating Everything.
Bungie only timegated in D1 “mainly”weapons as we know. But once they were unlocked you could do the entire quests to finish. D2 is nothing but timegates now. Every new bit of content we get is another timegate. I get the season pass is meant to drip feed us content and that is not what Im getting at but rather the timegating specific quests. Thunderlord quest, shattered throne are some prime examples. Understand this excessive timegating everything is not going to keep prolonging artificial playtime. Eventually players are going to get sick of it,many already are. Timegates In the game are preventing everyone from competing triumphs, titles, etc. Enoughs Enough.

The only reason The Last Word is time-gated to the 29th is because Anthem open beta is on the 3rd (I believe) and Division 2 beta is on the 7th.

Well I see what they’re trying to do.. I wouldn’t want to finish everything quickly like vanilla destiny 2 again.

I think about the lore entries "Truth to Power" timegated for the next couple of months (1 entry every 3 weeks). Well, I already paid for that content and I still have over 5 months to wait to complete that book. I didn't buy the annual pass and I fail to see why I would buy any more content before I get what I have already paid for. In the mean time, I'm playing other great games and there's a strong probability that I won't feel like buying the new DLC content (in 5 months) because I'm playing Destiny less and less every week. I think it's a good thing for Bungie, I'm quitting their servers progressively (as I imagine a lot of other players do), so they can save some costs on that. It's a win-win situation. Keep timagating sold content Bungie! Let's see how it ends up for you in a couple of months. It's just annoying; I don't see anything positive about that.

Little bit of stuff to do every couple weeks is something we asked for for years. Taken king was great but that was basically it until rise of iron. Now we have stuff coming out over a span of time so there’s always something coming and people whine. I’d be willing to bet 90% if people complaining about this complained about content droughts in earlier years. Finally not a problem we have but now people complain about timegated. No -blam!-ing pleasing anyone

I think a happy medium could be achieved, but there is only so much they can do with the low cost of the dlc. Stuff like the thunderlord quest I can agree, it shouldve probably just been there all at once, though stuff like izanagi's burden is fine (id still prefer they change shattered thrones involvement with the quest). They said The Last Words' quest will be 100% playable when it comes out and its looking to be a big quest? I guess we'll find out. There does need to be reasons to replay and come back every week, all looter / mmo games do it, its just part of the game. Its not like the community will ever be in agreement on this aspect anyway.

Yeah, make everything just like Curse of Osiris where you could do everything and get everything in a week! That was when D2 was at it's best right? Remember, this community asked for more stuff to do
