So, here we are. Once more, with feeling?

Haven't posted here in a long, long time. In fact, I left when Bungie revamped their forums from Bnext (old forum members will remember if they are still around) to their mess of a Destiny themed website. I thought I would check in and see if this place is still alive. This place used to be a massively populated hub of community, where people who didn't even play Halo would come just from its sheers voice and influence. I saw which way the wind was blowing and left, as did most veterans of the site. I didn't want my fond memories of the site tarnished ongoing events. People might not remember but Bungie had a unique reputation among devs as pretty open-minded, community-driven, and very transparent. After the Marty fiasco, I had no faith in Bungie to even hope to go back to the company I fondly remembered playing with on community days. I met a number of hard-working Bungie staff members who were excited to unveil what they had to offer in the oncoming years. That was around the time we were hearing rumors of a merger with Activision, and the slow slide into mediocrity. I remember then in the forum post, Deej, or at least I think it was him, assured everyone that it would not affect Bungie's community or its ethic. Well, wasn't that a huge lie. Bungie's name is now just another tarnished husk on the wall of Activision's grizzly trophy cabinet of ruined studios. It's not as if the fault can even be laid squarely with Activision. Considering Bungie's shady practices in the last couple of years, It seems that there was a sharing of "business cultures", shall we say from the two companies. Now, we are seeing history repeating itself. Hopefully now, finally, we might see Bungie return to its routes. Remember what got you to the dance in the first place Bungie. This post might just seem like the ramblings of some random, nostalgic forumite; and you would be right. However, I want the best for Bungie as a studio, and I am cautiously optimistic for their future. I skipped Destiny, I hope to be wowed by your next IP. ~Peace
